I remember watching this fight live and getting annoyed because the spectators were really thinking Brook was giving GGG problems. I knew what Golovkin was doing from the offset. He wasnt trying to box with kell, he was stalking and hunting with brute force and non stop pressure, because he knew Brook couldnt hold out for 12 rounds against a natural middleweight in Golovkin. He threw technique out the window and just kept punching and breaking Kell down, so yes he got hit alot, but not because Brook was so good against him. After the second or third round, golovkin just took over and was way ahead.

That’s the difference between the Golden Age of boxing and current times. Back then, there was no ducking anyone. It was more about pride than record. Frazier could’ve ducked Forman. He was probably advised not to face him when he did. But he didn’t. The Fabulous Four all fought each other, though you could argue SRL ducked Hagler for far too long.
