Stylistically, Matias doesn't really have any advantages. We are basing his superiority on the presumption that he gives and takes a much better punch than Paro. Can't know how much better until they are in the ring. What often happens in boxing is the opposite of what people expect. Matias getting a gift on the cards is just as likely as Matias wiping the floor with Paro. Paro could stop him. It's boxing. Paro is very good and Matias is very hittable.

He might go up to 147 but not further. Tito Trinidad was excellent at 147 and he was 5' 11" , Subriel Matías is only 5' 9" . If someone doesn't belong in the light welterweight division, it would have to be Issac ' Pitbull ' Cruz , although I do respect him as a good fighter as well.

He never said that, on the contrary he praise Paro and said Paro is a very good boxer. Maybe I missed that interview. He said that about Prograis and Teo just because they said Subriel was a nobody and specially Teo. Prograis told him he would talk about a fight if and when Subriel became a champion. Afterward when he became a champion, Subriel asked him for an opportunity to fight him to unify, he refused to fight Subriel and went to fight Haney. Subriel is a humble guy and give respect to whom deserved it. These guys don't deserve it like Paro does. Im puerto rican i study the sport paro is better then people now paro will try different things his sleek has decent speed and power and moves well. I think it'll be a competitive fight. Could it be like a Dadashev fight, or a Jukembayev fight? Those two are possible. I don't see it as a Ponce, Ergashev or Ananyan fight. Those guys had a different style. Looking at it from Paro's side, I don't see anyone in his fights to compare with Matias, with the closest perhaps a little bit the Keles fight. You never know in boxing, so we'll just have to wait and see.
