I feel like new age lumberjacks will listen to He Is Legend in the future and that will be the definition of manliness. Beards and He Is Legend.

hadn't listened to these guys since 07-08 and then randomly stumbled upon this cd a few weeks ago…this shit is rocking! this album is so much more mature than the old stuff…the riffs are badass, the vocals/melodies are awesome, the overall southern-ish feel to it all, the breakdowns…it's all kick ass. fuckin' a!

I'm one of those people that will always say that "I Am Hollywood" is their best album and one of the best albums ever, and trying to top it is just impossible, but I like this album. I've liked all of their albums. Sure they aren't as heavy as they used to be, but it's just progression. They'll always play the oldschool stuff at live shows and I can always listen to it whenever I want. No need to get upset when they try new stuff. I fucking love He is Legend. All of it.

The bass player spit into the crowd when I saw them live years ago. Some hit me. Smelt like he had been drinking. Have hated them ever since. Good music though!

There's something catchy about the guitar and lyrics. I really like this. But I'm not how the high notes come in out of time. I know that's really vague and nitpicky, I just feel it's worth mentioning. It doesn't stop me from loving the song.

So, is this a concept album on domestic abuse? it seems lighter at first with a dark turn after spout mouth, then has a feeling of regret by heavy fruit. Idk if it's domestic abuse, but this feels way too conceptual for me to let it go
@JustinRodriguez-sw2cc9 жыл бұрын
I think heavy fruit is about God and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. I think it's about the "truth". How what's inside of you is God and basically you create your reality because we're all humans and selfish natured but everything aligns in the end. There's a karma, I suppose.
@JustinRodriguez-sw2cc9 жыл бұрын
I always think heavy fruit is like a joke because if the bible were true basically the fruit on the tree in the garden of Eden would bear some heavy fruit, heavy to take. To understand. We beat ourselves up with the notion of everything being wrong or right to be perfect or make life perfect.

+Aaron Morath this and EVERY song by HIL is about torturing some poor bastard to death,this is a very popular trend with the wealthy evil,there are S0 many bands practicing this blackest of magic and if you don't believe me i DARE you to buy a backstage pass and tell 'em you love Jesus :)

The vocal filters were cool in the beginning of the album, but overall, it would've been edgier without them all.
@michaelwright738110 жыл бұрын
Agreed, they over did it with the vocal pads, though that's really the producer's fault. He's also singing softer more often than he did before, which makes it less gritty. Not necessarily bad, but I don't prefer it.

Jesse Georgia I know right? This "I don't want the band to progress crowd" is so fucking annoying. I've listened to all the songs off Heavy Fruit. They're all so so so good man. I just got to wait for the mail man though, hahah. This CD is gonna get worn out in my car. Blast this shit up sky fucking high!!! YEAHH!!

Nick H I think they official said "fuck you" to everyone after their first album, and I couldn't be happier. Each album is a crapshoot as to what to expect, nevermind the variation from track to track.
