I think the best videos that showcase Jhope's true talent in dancing are his freestyle dances (Hope on the street). This was nice too but it didn't capture Jhope's whole talent in dancing. He's simply the best. I'm a dancer myself and words are not enough to describe his talent in the field of dancing. He's the definition of a good dancer. I say this all the time but most kpop main dancers are good performer (good at being idol) but Hobi is different, he's the real deal when we talk about dancing. His rythm and natural flow is simply unmatched.

Jhope is the best dancer of this generation. Honestly, he's so underappreciated as a dancer. It pains me sometimes to see people listing the best dancers but not including jhope. As a dancer who looks up to J-hope, I appreciate this reaction, although I might say besides Boy Meets Evil this isn't close to capturing his dancing ability and yet you guys already called him legendary lol. There are a lot of other group performances that showcase his indivdual abilities as a dancer as well as his solo freestyle dances (Hope On The Street) that showcases a mind of a real dancer. His duality is insane and everything he does comes naturally, so I was hoping his freestyles, as well as other performances, will show you but that's okay. J-hope is the epitome of a dancer and there's so much he can do and that's what makes me excited abt him, I can't wait to see more dances from him in the future and esp his partner in crime Jimin. These are the best of the best.

@@singularity7420 ooh I've just seen it and although you're right it's not entirely hip-hop, it's more of a fusion between contemporary and hip-hop, but what you see is more movements that are contemporary-like. I'm not a contemporary dancer but ik that many contemporary students learn that the floor is their first partner, and so you see their movements always draws them closer to the ground like when they reach down to the floor to kneel. Their arms like to swing in circular motions and likes to extend a lot too. Another way to tell is the unpredictability of their movements, they use a lot of contrasting rhythms, directions, and postures you never expect like gliding or jumping across the room, facing each other's backs when dancing and etc. Close to the end there is also a beat drop in the song when they both face the mirror instead of eachother and that's where the influence of hip-hop comes in, their movements become a bit jumpy and their footwork gets a bit more complex. But yeah it's more towards contemporary, they're very expressive.

I mean, his fancams are amazing, yes, but BTS's choreos doesn't show all the talent he has, and also, he is almost all the time behind someone or out of camera cuz his role as a rapper.
