My dad , uncles and a group of their friends went to a film studio in 1963 or 64 in Mumbai. Shooting of 3 different films was going on that day . Although Dharm Ji has already given few hit films like Anpadh and dil bhi Tera hum bhi tere …but was still considered a newcomer and other two were established stars( or like superstars ) of that era. My dad and his group went to see the two famous stars first. As soon as the shot was over and hero heroine took their seats to take break . Producer screamed angrily at the group to stay away or leave the set. They all left the set right away. As they were coming out of the studio one friend expressed his desire to take a glimpse of Dharm and Meena Ji. They all agreed hesitantly and decided to see the shooting from far and wouldn’t stay at the set more than 10 mins. The whole group was very disappointed and did not want to stay there anymore. After about 10-15 mins they were about to leave when a spot boy came from behind and said loudly “ aap logon ko Dharm Ji bula rahe hain “ They were thrilled and couldn’t believe that a hero wanted to see them. Dharam ji got out of his chair and shook hand with everyone, asked everyone’s name , village and town. He even asked them if they want water or tea. We still have their group picture with Dharm Ji and Meena Kumari ji .No other star can get into his shoes. Long live Dharam ji
