Yeah - nobody better. Did you see all his competitors out the back - just shaking their heads, like... "Seriously?! We're supposed to go on - after THAT?!!!" When you watch a few of his performances on this show you can see these other artists, very rapidly, simply become some of his greatest fans - cheering him on! That's true courtesy and respect.

Dimash plays seven instruments, but he always says, he doesn’t play them well as he doesn’t practise every day and only had lessons on piano the rest he plays for fun. He plays dombra, drums and Tom toms, xylophone, guitar etc. But he has composed quite a few pieces of music and songs so uses his musicianship for that. There is one instrumental he has shared with us. It’s called River of Love and he plays dombra on it. A sort of two stringed lute. It’s beautiful.

Thank you. This performance is live and in competition and he's singing a language that he does not speak! And he is very young. Well done :) And now it is 2023 and he's almost 29 (in May). He only gets better and he keeps surprising us with excellence.

For non musicians: The language of music is Italian. Adagio is an Italian word and is used in music to denote tempo, meaning: 'calm', 'slow'. In this song, adagio roughly means: If it is to be, then it will be. The interpretation of the song by Dimash is brilliant. He touches my heart and soul ... every time. The shaking of his head and the trembling of the chin has nothing to do with the vibrato. It just goes to show that Dimash can be a little nervous and tense too. It was about a lot. Another refreshing Dimash reaction with strong emotions. I've listened to Dimash for 4 years, and I went to the Prague concert a year ago. Partly because I feared his voice might not last, the way it is today. The arena in Prague was an ice hockey stadium, so the acoustics were not the best. Covid restrictions were recently lifted, and uncertain times did not give too many options. If you plan to get some Dimash tickets, my advice is therefore not to hesitate, but also to choose a good concert site, if possible.

This song is part of the Lara Fabian's repertoire, a world-famous singer and songwriter. She wrote the lyrics many years ago to this classical baroque melody that cannot be assigned to any particular artist with certainty. The composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian arranged the piece into a pop song. Dimash really put his soul in each performance!!! 🔝❤️🎤👏👏👏👏👏

What I would have given to be in that audience for that performance b/c they witnessed the greatest vocalist alive at the start of his professional explosion.... No one is close to this kid technically b/c he basically does everything in reverse - his head voice is his base & he works his way down from there - opposite of traditional training where you find chest 1st & work up & he uses resonators for power - this is why it looks so effortless - b/c it Is - Everything is connected top to bottom & he has that massive anvil jaw so when he drops it he creates a cavern of space & Massive resonance & he just effortlessly powers up..... I saw Dimash live in NY 2019 at the Barcley Center - I drove up from Philadelphia w/ a friend on a week night & until you see this kid live you just can not fully appreciate his greatness - he is LEVELS above any other vocalist in the world

Interesting point. He was singing soprano in children's choir and maintained his highs with head voice even after his voice change. I can see that he started there and worked down.

I was also at Barclay's for Dimash's [10Dec2019] Arnau-Envoy Concert (first USA solo Concert). I agree, when you see / hear Dimash Sing Live you fully appreciate his greatness and you really understand that he is a phenomenal vocalist / performer. I am a Canadian Dear/Fan for 6 years now and Dimash never surprises me with what He can do. But, I am always awestruck by his hard work and talent to consistently give us entertaining and excellent performances.

Great to have you back reacting to Dimash. You’ve missed a lot! FYI, this is The Singer show 2017. Dimash won this episode - he was 22, so very young. He won two other episodes with SOS and Opera 2. Dimash opened the very first episode of this season with his SOS performance as a total unknown talent in China, brought the house down and became an overnight star in China with 600M views and the necessity for security guards thereafter wherever he went. It also kickstarted his global career. This show is worth watching. That competitor you recognised is Jam Hsaio, a Taiwanese singer, on this show with his band Lion - they came third, Dimash was runner up and Sandy Lam, Hong Kong singer and actress won the show. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

I love watching your reactions to Dimashs' voice almost as much as I love to hear him sing. By the way, they have videos of "The Singer 2017" with English subtitles, for those of us who do not understand Chinese. I watched all of the episodes of The Singer 2017 and enjoyed all the other singers as well, especially Terry Lin. I really enjoyed his cover of Writings on The Wall. Also, the orchestra is amazing as well as the background singers. Thank you so much for your Dimash reaction videos.
