No apology, no concern for my time. Next day texts me and says nothing regarding the flake, just that “we aren’t on the same page but can we go slower without expectations?” Who can’t respect a time frame at over 30 yrs old? Just got flaked today. There's this guy who kept on asking me out on a date for 2 months and then after how many rejections, I finally agreed. Told him I'm free on Sunday and he said that we're on to that Sundate. But after three days of that mutual agreement, there is no news from him. And then Sunday came the date just didn't happened. It'll be my first date tho. He didn't even apologized for that asshole behaviour but he's reacting to my Facebook posts. But I'm happy that I didn't get to spend my precious date to a bummer. I actually dodged a bullet by him giving me that favor. I'll just wait and invest my emotional energy to a man who truly deserves it.

@@heidimcnamara5648 Yes. It is true that he wasn't my priority that time cause those past few months were very crucial in my studies cause I'm really aiming for a scholarship. He knew that too. I was really guarding my heart not to get attached too knowing that in this generation, dating seems like just a game to play. You know what I mean people aren't really serious. Cause if I have to gamble my time and effort, I wanted to be sure that in the first phase of getting to know he is someone that is genuine and wouldn't give up that easily. So, even I knew I can't afford to get distracted I still entertained him and gradually get interested til I finally gave him a chance to get to know each other, face-to-face. That is a really big deal for me cause he broke that barrier and I'm taking a huge step out of my comfort zone cause I've never gave anyone a chance to get to know me before. But, I got my hopes up for nothing. He just suddenly ghosted me one day. Left me with such disappointment and I really blamed myself. But you know, maybe we were just not meant to meet.

I then ask if he was still interested in getting together and he said yes he’d love to see me again and said for one night during the week. When he initially bailed he was apologetic and said he’d make it up to me but didn’t mention it until I said something. I’m sorry but I didn’t like that oh let’s get together one night next week text. I’m not waiting around for him and he clearly showed his non interest. My boyfriend forgot we had dinner plans last night - his band had a gig. I’m pretty upset that he forgot about our date.

He invited me to his moms funeral then later got so caught up and forgot about me. I was mad at first but I’m glad I didn’t go. It would of been weird to meet his family during a funeral. I didn’t get mad about it either bc he was grieving...so I never said anything when I saw him again...I feel like it was the selfish test lmao

He planned a date and then few hours later he's like nah we're not compatible and he feels covid isn't a good idea to date. I just found it super confusing.

Guy just cxl our 1st date when I tried confirming. He was the one to suggest the place and date and even thanked me that I agreed to his choice, then he tells me 6 days later he changed his mind and wish me the best. WTF!

I am enjoying these videos. Thank you. After being married for 14 years and with my former spouse for a total of 20 years, dating is something I am completely unfamiliar with. LOL

Great topic! Thanks for your videos! This has happened in my experience with online dating this past year. The first stood me up on a first date & texted 2 weeks later on Christmas apologizing for disappearing saying he had to fly out of the country 🤨. I never replied. Another guy flaked more than once (no apology) & then wondered why I wouldn’t pursue him. Jesus take the wheel!! 😂

This has happened to me a couple of times too. 🙄

This has happened to me 3 times and that's exactly made me unregistered from the online dating. Guys acts like that just no basic manner and they are too low. Don't waste time on these trash

X W I’ve had one serious relationship that lasted 5 years from online dating but even with paid membership sites it really is an exercise in patience as you’re literally weeding out the bad apples which unfortunately I’ve learned are just as plentiful on the paid dating sites versus the free dating apps 😒. The dating culture has just changed so much!
@xw64755 жыл бұрын
@@stacibee224 Yes, exactly! The world we are living in is such a hard place. Everything is difficult. I decided not to use any dating website anymore, I am going to focus on myself

X W Good for you! I’ve been taking a break myself. I think this dating culture with the whole ”paradox of choice” and having so many options at people’s fingertips has made it more difficult for people to recognize something good when it’s right in front of them.

What about when they make tentative plans with you? As in THEY ask if you were interested in meeting somewhere specific, but then say they might not be there and they'll reach out later...kinda feels non committal but polite..but what's with that?

I am such a fool...long term relationship and my guy constantly makes plans and then shows up hours late! He'll leave the house with a promise of "back soon" and we'll go...i get ready and wait only to have him show up hours late, no excuse, no reason, or a stupid dubious one, no apology, and anger if I'm upset or hurt. I know I allowed this behavior how do I set boundaries now?
