I could never understand how Ben got away with murder, how he managed to rid the apartment of Allison’s blood and his DNA, no neighbors hearing them argue or seeing him remove her body from the apartment and into his car, plus provide himself with an alibi. It just wasn’t plausible. The detective was already familiar with the Lockhart and Solloway families from Cole’s brother’s murder and would have investigated Allison’s death with a fine-tooth comb.

Except they didn't because they didn't know Alison after she got better so they assumed she committed suicide. Life is like that sometimes; you get better and people hundreds of miles away don't know it, to them you're that same person they knew before.

As for neighbors hearing or seeing something, remember, there was a major rain storm going on that night. Agree with Plucky Bellhop, it looked like a suicide, and police must have just assumed there was no reason to investigate. Cole knew something was fishy from the start, but in his grief, never really pursued it, I guess.

The casting for this show was spot on! Eddy reminds me of Vik & Sierra in so many ways, and the adult Joni is the perfect combo of Cole & Allison ! What a great show

I couldn’t disagree with you more! Joanie was literally a Mexican girl as a young child then a blonde-haired totally different looking woman as an adult. Didnt resemble the child at all and Eddie was a joke. He looked Asian and Samoan to me!!! Not even remotely anything at all like Vic who was hindu. Crazy!!!! The last season was so off and Joanie was a Royal bitch and it was so unnecessary how aggressive they made her.

I didn't watch this season because I was only watching the series for Joshua Jackson (Cole), but I'm glad there was some recognition that Ben killed Alison.

I think that's because Ruth Wilson left the show contrary to the director's wish. Actually, the director wanted Alison to be raped and killed but Wilson did not accept it. I think it's their way of avenging Wilson by letting Alison's killer got away with murder. It is pathetic for the director or whoever is responsible for the situation. Anyway, it was heartbreaking for us, in fact, I still feel bad when I think of Alison :(

When Joine tells this she is about to find Noah soon right and Noah is really old ..so it makes sense .Cole was actuelly younger than Noah .he just died younger. the timeline does make sense to me.

For this to be the final season, it bullcrap. I feel like I'm watching a new show like what the hell. Every episode has been terrible, just terrible. i don't even tune in on Sunday. i catch the rerun. I mean dam it, man, like all this future bull with the daughter and sex addiction like her mom like honestly director what the hell are you thinking everyone doesn't turn out like their parents. And why the hell is Scott killed off, and he's a main character that should be on his wife? Did she even ever become a citizen. Then Noah and this bull crap movie man were supposed to be playing him in a movie and wanting his wife back. Come on its a Affair I'm so piss with every single episode so far. Terrible way to in the season.
