Foolish pride is truly not a good thing. I would rather have faced my father and admit he's right at least knowing that I had the experience for myself than to sit in squalor and struggle with a man who has NO love or regard for me. For what it's worth, her father's love may not be in a sense of showing emotion, but his love was through his guidance and his privilege that he shared and gave to her. At least her father's love was definitely more than what she could ever gain from Adam.
