I feel like no matter what happens, people will get called “something spammers”. I use mage (yes I am aware I’m scummy or whatever), but I used blast, explosion, beam, and snare on someone in pvp and they called me a meta mage blast and pulsar spammer. There is spamming, then there is excuses. This warlock however, spams shot.

Similar thing happened to me. Some guy with a 1 million bounty literally ran 5 laps around ravenna before leaving since he was scared of dying. Most of these high bounty players just farm executions and have no skill at all.

Honestly, AoE is the biggest problem with the game's combat right now (Besides lag and whatnot. I'm talking about intended use.) I've seen people who can make an explosion the size the arena. This is level 125; what will the game be like when we get to 500 or even 250? I think AA did it well where AoE spam was something that could be done, and it might kill inexperienced players due to them panicking, but it was primarily used as a finisher. In AA, you were encouraged to actually aim attacks and were rewarded with more significant damage. I think AO should scale down AoE in general and or tone down the damage of explosions. You shouldn't be rewarded basically the same damage for mindlessly spamming a button. This way, AoE attacks could be used to finish people off or get some extra damage in if they sit still too long, as well as controlling area. They would get outbursted by people who used aiming attacks though, encouraging those to be used primarily.

I can somewhat get why the Warlock is this way. Getting a million bounty is painful yes and then there is the fact when fighting a conjurer with a warlock or berserker it depends on luck if your gonna get close up. You either delete the conjurer in record time or you dont and get put into red hp instantly.

They get hit by my zero size attacks a few times and start running, it's annoying, especially since I'm slow af. I swear, I'm gonna get a full agi wind conj build one day.

I agree with everything else, but magma is probably one of the top three most broken magics in the game and it requires zero skill to use, it should've been a lost magic because every metamancer is using it. And for good reason, that DoT, AoE, combined with the fact that it leaves puddles is just fkin unfair. Oh and did I mention it has 13 clash advantages and only one clash disadvantage against water which nobody uses anyways?

This is why I don't even bother trying to PvP on AO. The lag that comes from the game itself due to its questionable optimization (especially in Ravenna, where the frames get even worse just due to how much stuff there is for the game to render al at once) and the fact that my PC is nowhere near being able to run the game anywhere close to full graphics makes it so that whenever a player tries to fight me, my entire game starts running at absolutely terrible frames so I just try to stay out of combat as much as possible

Dagger’s E is actually very different from vindicator. Vindicator is a dash before stopping to do a large aoe slam, similar to the triasta of bronze’s ethereal flash. Dagger is more of a movement drill attack. If you use it while you see wind trails on your character’s body, you’re able to carry the momentum from spiraling fury even after the move ends. It’s also like really hard to connect spiraling fury against an enemy.

That's just how combat is implemented in many online games. In any client-server game where you (the client) are relaying to the server where you are, if you or the server lags then there will be a discrepancy between where you are and where the server is saying you are. This is most likely what happened at 1:26 and all the other times where you can see I'm not in his AOE but the server may have been showing that I was at the place where I was a second before which would have been inside the AOE and so he would have gotten the hit off. It is clear his AOE is carrying him and he is making the most of his huge magma AOE. Throughout the fight you can see he isn't really directly hitting me, he's just shooting at my general area and because the AOE is so big it will most likely land. He definitely knows that's the case as you can clearly see at 6:16 he doesn't know where I am so he's just shooting at where he thinks I am hoping I'll get caught by the AOE. Good observation but to say I was using it as an "argument" when its just me pointing out it looks like it shouldn't have hit me and then to follow up and make a case that its uncertain to say that someone who is clearly making the most of his huge AOE is not being carried by his huge AOE is ridiculous.

@@ZeronWasTaken it's called server desync. When you play an online game you are constantly relaying information to the game server such as your position in the game. The server then relays that info to the other players and their clients then use that data to update where you are in game. When you lag or the server lags you then desync and the server is no longer sending the correct positional data of your character. So the other players are now seeing you in a different position to where you are on your client. On your screen you're moving fine but on their screen you're in another place. So they shoot where they're seeing you and you take damage because that's where the server is saying you are even though on your screen that's not where you are. That's what's happening. It can be confusing but hopefully that clears it up.

Can you suggest what else he could have done instead of using shot repeatedly? I use light thermo fist and the aoe of my attacks is nowhere as large as his. The shot and the magic blast are the only attacks I can rely on to damage my opponents at a safe range, especially when I have to fight conjurers who have more ranged options and can also land hits at a close range more easily than I do.

I mostly use the poison dagger for the E move to zip around really quickly, not really to do damage people. Any dagger will do but especially the sanguine as its a boss-drop dagger so it should be better than the normal and old dagger.

@@susgamer610 Like I mean I honestly have zero value towards fame bounty because its just for deckhands and bragging rights, im slowly, but surely getting better at PvP but probably with the way the game is going won't ever go deep with it, its just garbage how the bounty system works, used to play old AA and it had an amazing bounty system that was more like fold x to get y money, ngl I was savage treated people with bounties like walking running banks

a bit of a hot take but people with big sized magics kinda suck. like they spam moves far away, and those moves probably hit a ton(earth, magma, metal, etc) but their actual skill is kinda low compared to others

I swear anybody who uses magma magic because it’s good is a wuss. I’m glad I deleted my magma warlock, though I mostly did it because I was convinced warlord was better and I couldn’t use the intended playstyle correctly. It’s so sad seeing people like this have success with these classes because they’re not using it correctly.

on god, im tired of these people with like crystal iron leg, or whatever, this stupid dogwater pvp issue has got to be fixed because this iron leg crystal man does 300 damage plus even without the special effect, impossible to dodge and pretty dang fast, I was a metal warlock at the time, metal warlocks are somewhat ballenced nowadays, since the range isnt good, the aoe is just huge, but seriously just go up, the range of the shot is not far at all, but when it hits, it hits, I nearly killed the man with my goofy stomp a few times, but ofc he ran, healed back to full hp, put on op meta armor set or whatever and got his gang to just crack me in half
