Hey Rodney! I think I finally figured out why your playing and sound is so unique and different. When I hear you play, I hear pure elegance, maturity and grace. Besides the obvious soulful gospel influence, I hear a strong classical characteristic that allows the notes to glide and sing effortlessly. I'm sure if you wanted to, you could easily have a career as a concert pianist. I also think, which In my opinion is the most important thing, is that your playing is so relatable and relevant regardless of race, or time. As a fellow composer/producer, I'm looking forward to seeing what other influences come out through your music as you continue to honor God and inspire others!

Ben, this is funny, but the first time I heard O Danny Boy, I thought someone had ripped off Dottie Rambo's song and made a secular song out of it. LOL. I kinda grew up in a church bubble.

@@pianomeister40 ...yes, the song is about 200 yrs old and is still sung all over Ireland and Wales..

Hi Rodney, what background sound are you using under the keys? Sounds perfect, this could easily be on a recording album.

Amazing talent!!! What do you think about when you play? Just the melody line and all the chord changes you can add around that melody?

What do you do to warm up? I know you posted a video practicing, (the one when your kids were in the background lol but what were you practicing) what should I do specifically to get better everyday? Also I really want to add runs to my vocabulary but how do I go about finding the best runs for me to use in a song. I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN ALL LOVE!!!!!
