Hey Brix, 25 year old guy from England here. Major overeater/emotional eater who is one month into a fitness transformation. Ive been watching one of your videos everyday and I think you're probably the most realistic yet inspirational fitness/life coach on KZbin. I have a few other addictions I'm working on through meditation and habit changing etc. When Im ready I will aim to show you my tranformation because youve already been a big part of it. Respect and love to you and your family bro 👊🏻 Your videos keep me and I think many others going!!

I love that he talked about there not being a goal, its a lifestyle change. I have to remind myself of this fact and stop thinking "I need to get below 200 lbs" or "I want to look this way" when I really need to be saying "I need to be doing my best at all times to become the best me I can be". BTW: The pointed B shape you use for your logo is the rune/symbol/letter in old norse called BERKANO. It is the rune of continued growth and continual rebirth or renewal in all things. The rune of becoming. It translates in english to "birch tree" or "birch goddess". Seems appropriate that the Berkano found its way into your logo. :)

Preciate y’all for this!! I went thru and am going thru that same kinda struggle...losing hella weight then gaining it back...started over 500lbs and got down to 347lbs in 2013/2014, went thru some shit, got in deep depression, got back up to 460, and now I’m currently at 375 and tryna keep from losing my motivation again...this conversation really helped!! ...... came across your video last night on starting with 100 body weight squats , instantly got up off my ass expecting to only do 20 or so and i hit that hundo!! I couldn’t believe it!! Thank you again for putting this content out here for us!! Be blessed G!!

The process is called awareness and willing to make the lifestyle and nutritional changes to see the internal growth and external results! I loved this video, your interview was right on target. The first time He lost the weight it was fast and with speed but he did not learn anything for self healing. I did the same thing, I had gastric bypass at age 27 and lost 103 pounds, my lowest weight was 135 after 2 pregnancies and 7 years later I had gained back 40 pounds. At age 33 I decided to concentrate on getting quality sleep, supplementing nutritional deficiencies that I had and working out 4 days a week. I also incorporated protein in my daily meals, instead of mostly carbs, my total calorie count was the same, I only had to switch up my macros and LOWER my stress so I could make myself a priority in my 60 hr work week. I am now 45, my Daughter is 17 and Son is 14, my priority is showing them to be aware of what the body needs to thrive and that they are in charge of feeding it healthy, lowering stress by prioritizing and staying organized so they can fit in a workout in their schedule 3-5 days a week... its lifestyle choices that they are learning so they can include them for life and beyond not like Mom who gained the freshman 50 pounds. I did not have this knowledge, I grew up normal weight eating moms nutritious home cooked meals until collage, then I had to learn how to feed my self, that only took 15 years to figure out on my own.

Bottom line: you have to definitely change your relationship with food. Diets basically don’t work! Lifestyle change is the only way to maintain a transformation. If you’re a food and sugar addict, you can’t go back to the same thing afterwards. You have to want to change your life permanently not temporarily because you will eventually be back at square one.

This was so on time for my journey . I’ve struggled for several years to drop the weight. I’ve become bigger than I have ever been In my life . I am not afraid to say that what you say about depending on what your purpose is, it will not see you through your journey is so so so so true. I am current down from 335 to 310 and it’s taken me 6 months . I’m okay with that bc I’m not looking for a quick fix anymore. I’m looking for reality and consistency. Thank You for the Vblog ! You don’t know how it touched me .... The vision has to be realistic ! Before I wasn’t mentally ready ! Now I’m so ready to attack this thang !!!

Thanks for this video I feel this way everyday. It’s a struggle for me with food my relationship is so bad. I am a athletic guy but I’m still way overweight and I try to cut corners and I always feel depressed when I fail. Brix your a huge influence in my journey and I am so glad I stumbled across your videos. It’s so helpful to see a former big guy make it and control the things you can control. Big fan of your videos brix you be dropping some jewels in each and every video that I apply to my journey as well case in point the point you said about transitions I had people tell me I was gone quit and never finish and here I am 2 years later looking and feeling way better than I ever did and some of the same people said I looked good and was proud but that wasn't enough for me. Not that I needed any validation or anything but my mind frame transformed from show and prove to I need to do this for myself and my health

I went from 312, to 213 in a year and a half back in 2013-2014. Then I fluctuated between 235 to 275, then got down to 235 again. Then I went back to 320. Now I am at 273. I gotta remember to keep it simple this time around.

Hey, I have a question, if you are obese, should you aim to drop weight fast until you're not obese anymore and then focus on weights etc? Or is lifting weight always better for losing weight? I am a bit lost to all of this, but I used to be 160kgs, currently at 132kgs (197 cm, just shy of 6'6), 18 months on and off diet etc, but most my exercise has been cardio, mostly because I love cardio more than weights. Ps: I used to be fit for a long time, and used to train boxing/cardio every day, but I have never liked weights at all. Should I maybe combine the two? Thanks for any answer, I hope I make any sense.

80% diet 20% gym is cliche imo. If you are serious about the change and want to make an overall impact on your physical and mental wellbeing then you have to give 100% to both diet and exercise. 100% diet and 100% exercise. Staying dedicated and disciplined is the only key to success. Everyone works hard and gets motivated once in a while, but what makes the difference is how disciplined we are and how bad do you want it.
