These plays follow deeply ingrained traditions for performances. Certain words and actions are always used to symbolise feelings. You may notice that they always clench their fist when angry, grab the cloth at the side of them when upset. These movements have been part of the traditional acting performance for centuries and act as a sort of short hand. I'm guessing that early actors thought that that was where the heart was and the action has stuck.

Thank you Chinese writers for showing how illegal, criminal activities get smoothly done in Chinese hospitals through dramas! Husband does forced blood transfusion, takes out wife's organs, kidney, bone marrow, liver, cornea, etc, then he forcefully does her abortion and doctor plus nurses who without any hesitance get done these crimes done! In Chinese drama they never get punished, neither doctors nor husband! It shows that it is not crime in china!
