My previous GF pulled the whole "I'm not sure this is working out" line just to start some drama or something and my response was "you're right" and I walked out of the door, got into my car, drove several blocks away and then blocked her phone number and any other account we were connected to. I made it impossible for her to connect with me. She tried reaching out to me numerous times even going so far as to call my sister a few times to ask about me (this was during a big fire in SoCal). And with every subsequent failed relationship... more damage, more baggage, more trauma, more miles, more ex boyfriends to deal with. Do you think the first woman in this video will become a better woman because of her experience? She said she's questioning her self-worth. Four months later, she's stalking (her word) her ex. Is that a healthy behavior? She said, "Stay single everyone". Imagine you being her next boyfriend. Do you really think you can trust her, if say, her ex called her up one day out of the blue to "see her"? Do you think she will be cool if you hang out with a woman (just a friend) who she feels threatened by? Do you think she won't go for a guy just to make her ex jealous? Damaged people become more damaged with time and leave an increasing larger trail of damage behind them. This is why by their 30s, these women become extremely unpleasant to date, let alone be around, let alone marry. Their own poor choices and behavior get them in trouble, which makes them bitter, which then gets them in more trouble... and the vicious cycle continues. This is the ugly side of hypergamy no one talks about. Bad things happen then you think you are a 10, but you are really 6. Pride goeth before the fall. Pride is ego. And nothing says "ego" more than "I am a 10". And so the fall is certain.

While dating in my 20s I worked in a salon full of women only and we'd spend all day, everyday talking about our relationships or lack thereof. We were all trying to decipher all the boyfriends' behavior, but the conclusions were never about us. It was all, "he really means this..." or "he's just scared of losing you & his insecurity is sabotaging the relationship," or the like. Then, a book came out that made me realize all that talk was absolute garbage. It was called, "He's Just Not That Into You." It was a hard pill to swallow, but it really did put everything into focus. Another note, when I finally found a man I wanted to marry I really had to work at shaking off feelings that he was trying too hard. He was serious about me & I even though I felt the same, there was something in me telling me "no." My best friend at the time would even poke fun at me about it. Thankfully I had grown & was more mature, & accepted the fact he was "chasing" me, & I cut out all the single girl BS to show him I was equally as serious. Unfortunately, that also meant I had to keep my friends at a distance. We were all in our low to mid 30s at this point, & I think they felt a little insecure that I'd be leaving our friend group. Ultimately, we dated for 6 months before getting engaged & got married after 8. That was 8 years ago. We have a very loving relationship full of respect & are each other's best friend. I'm so glad I read that book, pushed down the stupid feelings I had about the fact that he was showing genuine interest, & stopped the behaviors that ticked off previous boyfriends b/c now I have a wonderful life. If I had continued doing what I had always done I'd probably still be single & would've missed out on the best thing that's every happened to me.

I will caveat: Men of any quality don't care about a women's finances. Men of low quality might. Before I start, yes I’ve been twice an idiot. My ex tortured me for 18 years before filing for divorce. She slandered me in court… the works.
