“Through with the two step” one of my favorite from Plants early solo career!!!

Technical Ecstasy is my favorite Black Sabbath album. So underrated! Jezz's work with Plant is such an integral part to his songs. PLAY LOUD!

TE is a great album - Back St Kids, Rock & Roll Dr and Dirty Women are some of the best Sabbath tracks. I love Sabotage too

My fav Sab album too. Iommi's two greatest ever guitar solos in 'You won't change me', 'Dirty women' kicking in (for the second time) at 3'15" ... and brilliant cover art.

Fascinating insight into a unsung hero of Plant's early solo career. Will definitely check out his own solo works.... It was very poignant to see the Joe Louis Arena in it's glory, then seeing it half demolished. Would love to see an episode of the famous ( and not so famous) places/Arenas Zep played and what became of them, or if they are still in use, even all the Tour over Europe venues....

Fantastic feature on a unsung hero in Plant's band. I did not know all the work he did with Sabbath only just some. Jezz was a great addition to the Plant band and tours. I would like to find the solo albums. Thanks JCM……oh BTW I posted this to Jezz FB page 😊

It would be great to know where Jezz is. I do hope he is well. His synth work on Big Log and In the Mood, arguably Robert's two biggest selling and most famous solo career singles was absolutely beyond outstanding. His work really stood out in those two songs as much as Robert's voice or Phil's drums and were not just some sort of secondary 'back ground' also ran. Jezz if you read this your work on Robert's albums was absolutely next level and was critical to defining Robert's sound at that time.

Cheers for Jezz' talents, he really took Robert's material to great extents of depth and synthesizer magic. And his stuff with Sabbath is brilliant too! Thanks for watching this one!

If Pictures At Eleven was Robby Blunt’s big coming out, then Principle Of Moments must have been so for Jezz Woodroffe. In The Mood surely stands as Woodfoffe’s pinnacle in 1980s pop radio. (Ironically, “I’m in the mood for a melody” actually features minimal vocal melody)

I agree with you 100% . In The Mood is an 80s Anthem.

Hey Christian!

Oye hablando de todon un poco, dale un vistazo al album "Down to the Moon" by the virtuoso Swiss harpist Andreas Vollenweider. Ese LP tiene dos de mis canciones favoritas from the mid 80's trippy/prog playlist: "Moon Dance" y "Night Fire Dance" ; Not to mention the airy Japanese tones on the rest of the LP. Estoy seguro que lo encontraras interesante. Cheers desde Puerto Rico.

Nice work JCM. But how does the video have round 700 views (at time of writing) but 11,000 likes? Strange. It deserves the likes though.
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks for tuning in! I must say i am also puzzle at the number of views. While i never have any expectations when working on a project, you kinda hope it gets traction. The best explanation i can come up is people use YT more on the weekends. So ill have to just premiere more than one on the weekenda i guess, just like a TV station hehe. Funny how the algorhythm works, even though it says Robert Plant and Black Sabbath on the cover. I really enjoyed doing this episode. No regrets if the numbers are down, it kinda speaks of the underrated nature of geniuses :) Thank YOU for watching! If you can share it on your socials, that helps!

Thanks JCM…great episode. Do you have any insight on what happened to Charlie Jones after the 1998 Page Plant tour ended? I saw a video on KZbin of him selling one of his bass guitars. I always enjoyed his playing and stage presence.
