Tins are wrapped to prevent scratches. Tins are very hard to get, especially larger size. Some manufacturers sold filled with candy, popcorn, rice or pancake mix. Many came out every year with a special one. Those are now vintage and worth money ( if in good order).

The air raid siren is the house siren for the volunteer fire company - it’s old school these days but that’s how they used to alert the volunteers to come in for a fire. A lot of stations still hit the siren for a fire call - so cool !!

They probably wrapped the tin boxes to keep them from getting scratched. Will you be keeping / using the new in package baby items or donating them. Also, the unused beauty products could probably be donated to local women's or men's shelters.

I don't have time right now to read all the comments so someone may have already mentioned this but paper items can be of value especially those old manuals and especially ones for cars. And postcards depending on the subject matter are also a value. I'm one of those who does buy vintage postcards so I know the cost of postcards even though they may not be huge bucks depending on that subject matter you can get 3 to 10 dollars and sometimes possibly more per card.
