After the disturbing discovery with the voices leading to Woods' apartment, the rest of the team is faced with a difficult decision: do they go on without a core member of their investigation team or try to convince him to come back? Yea it's actually very uncomfortable especially in this one. He even says "Woods got freaked out rightfully so" and then goes on to say "Ok plan A we convince him to stay. Plan B we get the law involved" and they way they were talking while setting up the party just sounds so manipulative but not in a "Let's convince our friend not to leave" more of like a "Let's make him feel so bad and guilt trip him into staying" It just made me uncomfortable

That true but to play devils advocate here I think it for the best some times a leader got to play a villian. Mike case there was no other choice since nobody had mike skills and mike could have very easily processed the recording with out listening. I supposed it on both of them. And for woods case I get that woods scare who wouldn’t be but as Matt said the situation connect to them. Quitting before fixing a problem doesn’t change anything. Also having a legal investigation is just messy. Maybe I’m a Matt simp but i think it the right call

I think woods didn't actually "quit" because of the ghost lead them to his apartment. As shown in this episode he stole a file and hid it in his apartment. To highly reduce the possibility for him to get caught, he "quits" and the ghost leading them to his apartment happen to be a very good chance as it's a sensible reason for him to quit. But at the same time, it's a double edged sword as they then searches his apartment (in this episode). And maybe the ghost didn't lead them to the apartment but the files itself.

Just a theory: what if Woods was hearing voices coming from the walls way before the others did (he just happened to have a homemade listening device at the right time) and didn’t want to let on because just like Ben, everyone would say he was “hearing things” or “being crazy”? Maybe Woods and Ben have a connection that hasn’t been discovered yet? Maybe that’s why he wanted to leave before he ended up like Ben and when the voices followed him back to his apartment he was reluctant at first to let Matt investigate further because the voices might of told him to take the file?

Matt's behavior recently reminds me of... Someone like Syphus or the Phantom. First, he forced his friend & employee (Mike) to do something he wasn't comfortable doing, even after he initially refused. Now he coerces a friend & employee (Woods) to stay. We understand why he did these things. Someone else brought up Matt was Mike's boss & everyone was being a little manipulative to get Woods to stay. Matt has just been... going a little further. It's like it has been becoming easier for Matt to push (maybe cross) the line with people he cares about, at least when it comes to anything relating to 863. Remember he was dosed with serum, it was stabilized due to the radiation, but not neutralized. He was also forcefully injected with something by those sketchy... Doctors? What if these things are slowly affecting Matt's behavior? The Phantom seemed to focus hard on a goal & do anything, sacrifice anything, justify anything to achieve it. He was very extreme, but the serum has been affecting him for years. Matt's just barely starting to act like this, but the serum hasn't had nearly as much time to affect him. That's just a theory, a KZbin theory... but even if I'm wrong, something is up with Matt.

Is it just me or is Matt starting to turn into a different person? Maybe it’s just the stress getting to him but he feels more pushy than he did before. Twice now he has forced a good friend of his into doing something they didn’t want to do and created this tension between them, all to get what he wants. Like with Mike, he could have asked as a friend, they could have had a conversation, but instead Matt jumps straight into “I’m your boss, do as I say,” which made everything awkward for everyone. And now he’s doing it with Woods too. Instead of mentioning all the good points they brought up, like “whether you quit or not, this is still tied to you,” Matt went headfirst into saying “you stay or I make this a legal thing.” And he always claims that his friends are abandoning him. Sorry Matt but it kinda feels like you’re pushing them away. I get that you want to get through this, but what’s more important? Solving a mystery that you’ve been working on for years, or keeping strong relationships with the people you care about?

After the threat of making it a legal thing woods even tries to call him out saying that's not how you treat a friend or employee and Matt questions if he's a friend because he wants to leave for good reason and that he isn't an employee anymore. When he said he wasn't an employee anymore it sounded so aggressive almost like "You're not an employee anymore you don't get to question that or be treated properly" When Woods comes out and says he's staying for a bit longer he looks so defeated and uncomfortable.

If we put all the clues together, walkie talkie was dropped, Woods fob was copied, Woods geting hit and the phantom getting the computer, I mean think about it for a second. The ghost might have been leading sam, matthias, and Bailey there for a reason....the reason being Woods. He had the file and he might be working for syphus or maybe even deb. What if this is just an act that woods has been playing to give information to the others apart of this plan. Its something to think about but at the same time My heart is telling me Woods can't be able to do this. Its hard to think about but maybe this was another part of project 863, The voices have incriminated Woods making the need for him to quit stand out more then ever. The amount of though and immersion of this story is incredible. This is simply outstanding the amount of work and time being put into this series let alone the season I would've thought this was a download from netflix but no youtubers that have this much talent deserve recognition the consistency and the call-backs the comedy and they horror and a lot of action mixed perfectly with this amazing story that was written with care and slow process. I stand by my theory that we are seeing Parallel time lines of the things happening at syntec and now spellbound. It is all happening again they have always told us it would.
