Ok, genuinely loved Qimir and his actors acting. One of my favourite dark side wielders of all time and so I really hope that he gets his own solo show or movie. Maybe a series could explore his past and connections to the sith through his training of osha and evading the Jedi and the sith.

It is a shame as some of the things they left untied was some of the more interesting stuff in my opinion, and the thing is, a lot of shows do struggle with first seasons. It is where they are trieing to figure out the characters, see how the dynamics work, a prime example of this in Star Wars is Star Wars: Rebels. The first two seasons aren't considered the greatest by fans (even though I personally like them) but Season 3 and 4 is considered some of the best Star Wars to release since Disney took over. As for the lore mistakes, I think it is less so the lore being ruined and more so people not understanding it. One of the gripes people had was the creation of Mae and Osha who were created by the Force and how that ruins Darth Plagueis' storyline. The thing is that is two different things. For one we have no idea how Mae and Osha were forged through the Force, were they created through Midichlorian Manipulation or some other technique? And the thing is, Darth Plagueis never intentionally created Anakin. Anakin was made through a chain reaction in the Force in response to one of Plagueis' experiments. Essentially, Anakin is a consequence of an experiment that had nothing to do with creating life. And also, the Jedi have existed since what, 25,000 BBY? And the Sith have existed for a very long time too. Surely there would be other's before Plagueis who experimented with Midichlorian Manipulation. Hell, I'm pretty sure at some point it a character in universe theorised Vitiate was experimenting with it, it may have been Plagueis himself but I don't personally remember. And if you want to talk lore conflictions look at Dave Filoni's Clone Wars and count how many times it retconned or cut connections to something from the Clone Wars Multi-Media Project and Legends as a whole, as that was made during Legends and is still for some reason considered Legends, with the exception of Season 7. Overall the point I'm trying to give if that the lore conflictions weren't really conflicting in the first place, and the fact the Acolyte was "bad" in some peoples eyes doesn't mean it couldn't get better in future, again a prime example is Rebels.

Best case scenario would be an animated continuation. I can’t imagine they have any desire to return to the high republic in live action so soon. Which does suck, though it makes sense that they would save those higher budget production for stuff they know will be hits through nostalgia pandering.

Without fully seeing the whole show, I think one main issue is that they spent too much time in this "first season" with, I dunno, build up? It didn't advance enough and now hearing about things such as this one, that if a second season were ever made, we'd learn more about backstories etc., in my opinion some of these things should have been now in the "first season". The other part that bugs me is how the Jedi in the show were so... awful? We are talking about space wizards who have been training their whole lives, albeit perhaps not to encounter a Dark Side user for they were supposed to be extint (though I'm having hard time believing that there weren't Jedi who didn't become Dark Jedi, not full Sith but still fell to the temptations of the Dark Side). But that whole Jedi group was killed off just like that! This one, I think, falls under the category of continuity issues and lack of knolwedge about the universe as a whole. Do I want a second season? Honestly, I don't know. The start wasn't strong enough to warrant enough expetations for more. (I will leave out some of the other issues with the show as they've been discussed and talked about in many forms already.)
@MerkFreeks18 күн бұрын
At this point, unless Disney actually gets people who know and care about the star wars IP behind the controls of a show in that time period, I don't want anything new from the high republic era. Its a damn shame too because Qimir was the best part of that show, such wasted potential, I can see alot of the loose ends maybe being tied up in comics and such but not many people care about those by comparison. I just don't want legacy characters like Plagueis to be ruined by shit like what we got in the Acolyte. If they made a separate side show detailing some of the more interesting parts of what we got from the slop of the acolyte under different directors/writers then maybe.
