i remember the old need for speed 3, on hard dificult, with gameshark u can start in tournament with 2 laps (they are 4) the bots gets a brutal boost, they can get even to 300mh/h (the max is 220 with the nino) and no matter how good u drive, they are close to pass you when u finish the 2 laps (mainwhile they do 4) and of course in nfsmw one time i make earl hit a wall getting 40secs of advantage, he got close to me in no time lol

Using them has little effect other than just buying you *some* time. Cops are in full-backup mode during races, which means that new ones will replace the totaled ones very shortly. And the time you get by destroying the pursuers is hardly enough to prevent Roadblock and SUVs in your way.

I gotta ask though, how is it that you're progressing on the career mode with these mods, when at some point you have to complete Milestone Events to be able to challenge the Blacklist Bosses? Pursuits are exponentially harder with this, you'll have to exploit the loopholes of the Cops' AI, rely way more on specific locations for quick escape, and make sure your car is always above the speed of 120 KPH (75 MPH) otherwise the cops will start ramming you, cause you to spin, and box you, which is an extremely unfavourable situation to be in, all while not taking too many hits. It will chew your sanity up.

You're right, the addition of the "totaled" mechanic into the entire game makes free roam pursuits frustratingly harder. To be completely honest i would love to know how to make the "totaled" mechanic to only apply in races and not in free roam, but with my limited modding skill and absolutely zero coding knowlede i don't know how to do that by myself Right now i have to abuse spots that can break both ground unit and heli's line of sight, like the water park and the hiding spot near the very first safe house. As for milestones so far the game only forces you to complete at most 2 pursuit milestones because there's also several "Speedtrap" milestones you can do to meet the milestone requirements without having to do all of the pursuit milestones

@@HierToGame With VLT-Ed, I don't think coding knowledge is required. I'd bet it's mostly figuring out, since the game was like that with Drag Races ['Totaled' Mechanic enabled, solely there]. There should be a way to replicate that with the other Race Types by looking at the race fields in Vlt. For now, something I'd strongly recommend is doubling the Car's Mass Multiplication when using the Speedbreaker through the Extra Options .ini file to counter attempts at destabilizing your car more reliably, as well as crashing onto things more safely, like Roadblocks. You'll find it as something like "SBMassMultiplier", default is 2.0 -it's insufficient with ProStreet physics- so I went with 4.0. Oh, and, read the .nfsms file of the Totaled Mod with HP with Notepad. You might find something you missed.

It's a somewhat time consuming one, you gotta go to gameplay > baseelement > activity > race > engaged > basicrace, then disable the "CopsInRace" function of every single race one by one
