Honestly, cutting ties with Destiny and not wanting to talk or debate is fine but this whole turn of events was super weird and Vaush's vids feels like a hit-piece with criticism couched in so much blatant mischaracterizations and revisionism. Destiny literally can't respond to the absolute coward comment or call out mischaracterizations like the Noah debate 'walkback' or else he's dramabaiting or spiteful? Despite the content drought due to league there were literally no videos on the channel or 2nd channel about the Ctrl+V and absolute coward comment or debate challenge to get clicks etc. And then Vaush decides to ban all mentions of Destiny, going out with a pretty bad faith rant he wanted his fan channels to make and imploring content creators to also ditch Destiny. if you can link me where somebody gave a similar mental health graph to destiny's before the date he posted it I'd love to see it. Otherwise this is a stupid red herring as nobody is saying he "came up with it" he did however popularize most of these ideas in the debate community. Vaush re-running his ideas verbatim after shitting on him is obviously pretty shitty. If vaush was adding something to what Destiny said or giving more nuance to it I'd agree with you. The same reason I see destiny is in the right for building on the influences that drove him to that conclusion instead of copy-pasting it.

@@braden5611 I mean do you have an issue with someone shitting on someone but agreeing with them on something unrelated or am I misunderstanding? @@braden5611 this is so stupid to try and get in the head of another human being and say that because he used an argument that was similar (in your opinion) than hes copying Destiny lmao leave the mind reading to magicians. My real problem here is the arrogance of Destiny to think that he has such an influence on people that if they make an argument that hes made in the past than they ripped him off. Destiny acknowledges he has influences that help shape his own opinions on things. This is the way humans think. Should we now list every person that helped us come to a conclusion on any given topic when making an argument? You act like Vaush has to like or respect Destiny because he agrees with some of his points and that logic does not follow. Why do you think its shitty to like one argument someone makes but shit on something else they say? Do you believe that if someone popularized an argument they now own that argument and should be given credit whenever someone uses it? Do you think Vaush should have some gratitude for Destiny or something? @@kevinshaw5420 I believe if someone has an argument which they've popularized, copy pasting it word for word, graph for graph to your channel is a bit much. Having a similar idea is perfectly fine and building on what other people have said is encouraged. Blatantly ripping off content is kinda stupid, and if you do it you should probably cite your sources, yes. Vaush isn't adding anything more to the talk, he is copying. It's like citing a source in my, in my head I see that if you built on a sources idea you don't necessarily need to say so. I’m still gonna watch vaush because despite my disagreements with him( since I am an open liberal, and not a socialist) my intuition tell me that his beliefs are legitimate. Just because they are inconsistent and hard to categories doesn’t necessarily mean he is lying( not that Destiny is making this argument but I have seen many people do this). On top of that he still holds interesting positions on mental health, life ,political action and co-ops and so on. I’m only going to unsubscribe if I do not like his content or I get very little out of it. The mental health video of both of these guys are one of the most underrated KZbin videos as of yet. I personally think vaush is introspective about many things but not everything( like his internal logic, certain good faith criticisms from his fans and booksmarts) I think the same can be said about Destiny too btw but for different topics. I might agree with Destiny more and sometimes agree with vaush over Destiny , but I’m still gonna stick to my centrist take after watching booksmarts, I realised both the radical dggers and Vggers have cognitive dissonance in respect to their creator. When he called this out he was told even in his conversation with Xanderhal that nobody was trying to get him reported, that when they were calling him a fascist and a Nazi that should be banned that it was poor "phraseology" and nobody wanted anything to happen from those reports. So he said the same thing in his chat as a tongue and cheek jab to point out that they wouldn't accept these arguments if it wasn't their community. And he was proven right. Lmao adding the 2 year old same rinse and repeat clip of Vaush when he mentions the mask-on comment was really bad faith. A perfect example of Destiny’s behavior against Vaush. I watch some of Destiny’s videos still sure he still has some good takes but for some reason the mention of Vaush’s name makes Destiny revert into a 13 year old Xbox live troll it’s insane.

To be as fair as possible, Destiny doesn't edit his videos himself and it may have just been the editors choice and he might not've thought it was a good addition or something.

I'm not really partial to either of yall, but I gotta say you tweeting that demonmama being attacked was a farce was cringe, then your response to it, "that was a based tweet" is extra cringe. Plus instead of addressing the legality of you calling for hax you make a stupid joke about lawyers.

There’s pretty much no way Destiny gets anywhere near the legal standard of incitement (intended and likely to cause imminent lawless action) so a lawyer joke is fine.

28:29 Destiny said that vaush said something like "oh i hope you guys see the good im doing, i hope some of you larger contentcreators wanna talk to me now", then we see 2 clips, when hasan raids, and then when vaush says "i hope that some of you who were on the fence about me to work with me in the future" You can see that the timestamp in the chat in both clips are hours and hours and hours apart. I think it is disingenuous to say that vaush wanted clout off of the charity, which the implication is of Destiny. And the 2 clips back to back 100% try to prove that point, even though they are so far apart from another. Vaush had in the past said that a lot of contentcreators did not want to work with him because of his edgy humour and edgy takes on certain topics. Are some of them large content creators? Sure. Does that mean that he does that to gain massive clout? No. At the very least there isnt enough evidence to suggest that. If you look at his views, he does get hundreds of thousands of views on each video, doesnt seem like is dying for views or income. I do not think that this point is fair.
@radred6093 жыл бұрын
aknowledging the fact that you're doing a charitable thing doesn't magically make the charitable thing not count. the alternative is that he actively lie and pretend that there's no way that a charity stream might have an effect on his public perception. which might be better for optics but the whole conversation is just is a kafka trap.

@@radred609 "the alternative is that he actively lie and pretend that there's no way that a charity stream might have an effect on his public perception" sure, but do you think that was what was meant when destiny said that? @JesterAzazel3 жыл бұрын
Yea, he acts like it doesn't matter because people are going to misquote him anyway. The thing is, you can look into the quote and see that people are full of shit. Now he's giving them ammo to use against him that'll be more effective. It's like when a woman accuses a man of cheating, then he uses that accusation as justification to do it. It's child logic, and it only serves to make people feel like they were right about you all along. And one more thing, I watched his take on the guy that only dates black girls, and while I started off agreeing with him, he pretty much spent the entire discussion putting words in people's mouths, and didn't even seem to understand the nuance of the position he was arguing against. He talks a good game about how "now" he's going to try to be more rhetorically effective, but then he just gets frustrated and pushes the chess board right off the table. Well, maybe 2022 Destiny will stick with it, because this aint the year.

The problem is Destiny's job at its core is something similar to reality t.v. or WWE. If he isn't getting into arguments or stirring up/indulging in controversy then it isn't entertaining to watch. By choosing to die on every hill and focusing on where he disagrees with people rather than offering solutions to problems he agrees 90% of the way on, he manufactures his own conflicts and confrontations ie "content" which inevitably results in him cutting ties with most of those he consistently comes into contact with over a long period of time. It's sad to me because I truly had high hopes for someone with as much potential as him to be a leader on the left people could get behind and work together with in order to reach a broader goal politically. Unfortunately, it seems he does not have enough discipline to treat others with respect when disagreeing or know when to back off of a non consequential point to an otherwise productive conversation.
