After seeing the interview with Charlie and Dilly, can confidently say the dude is getting used for content and she's beaten him down to the point where he thinks being that punching bag is the best he can get out of life. Not trying to be that armchair psychologist, but it's plain as day when you see how difficult it is for him to answer some of Charlie's questions and even the answers themselves - he'll often try to shift to blame to himself etc. It's really messy, but I care about the situation cause it does extend beyond Dilly. It's a cycle of abuse that's incredibly common across a variety of relationships and affects many people. There were people saying how he needs to have self respect etc, but I guarantee you, anyone given the wrong set of circumstances, can end up in abusive relationships like that. Easily. I've seen it happen to MANY people (people that you'd never in a million years think would allow themselves to be treated that way) and I guarantee you, it's not as easy as ''have some self respect''. Not to mention, putting it on the victim, rather than the one abusing the victim, always comes off as messed up.

No matter how you slice it, it was bullying or abuse or however you want to categorize it. PS: If he could puff out his chest and say with any sort of confidence that he was into that, it'd be a different story entirely. But the fact that he couldn't at any point was at least to me, very telling. Being the butt of the joke is fine. I do that with my friends and family and vice versa, but when you're exclusively getting clowned on that way, that's just degrading. People aren't laughing with you anymore and you could feel that through that entire interview. That he's just settled in and trying to make peace with it. It's genuinely sad.

I guess it's just wild that we live in times that just shine a spot light on something that's been going on since humans started humaning and it's really hard to look at it. But hopefully there's a lesson for others (maybe in time as well, Dilly): just look for the signs, know when you're not being valued as a person and accept nothing less than the basic human decency that should be afforded to you. It also means, that the person themselves do the same of course. But never compromise on your boundaries. Any ''real'' friend will accept that, but it's clear that they aren't anything close to ''real friends'' or ''friends'' at all - he's just content for her and he genuinely believes otherwise (or is desperately trying to convince himself he's not).

The one piece opening is something I think everyone should see, if you like any kind of art, period. There's so much emotion and human expression poured into it, when I saw it my only thoughts were just... _awe,_ number one, but also, the thought that *THIS is something AI can NEVER even hope to replicate.* It has so much of what I can only describe as _human_ in _every frame_ that its something that no computer can *ever* even hope to compare to. One piece isn't even an anime I watch (I only watched the episodes with gear 5) but its hands down the single BEST opening I've ever seen, as long as we don't count nostalgia, since the first FMA/B and Soul Eater openings will always hold a special place in my heart. He was given a career and level of success that millions dream of and what did he do with it? Use the goodwill people had for him and their kindness and generosity and took a dump on it. I'm fine with Jirard going back to his previous content, I don't have an issue with that decision. What I have a problem with is the fact that Jirard is essentially trying to make shiny new content without fully addressing any of the elephants in the room and seemingly doubling down on them. I already can't trust him with my money for Charity even if he did finally donate it. I don't think I personally am comfortable with watching someone who to a degree was intentionally trying to get away with that stuff. The Completionist has almost a Golden Legacy on Gaming KZbin but after recent events it's getting really hard to ignore that it's very much Tarnished now. Whether it's fair or not, once someone does or attempts something like Charity Fraud it becomes a question not of if he's done it but whether he'll take advantage of his position again.
