It may come as a surprise but one of us doesn't have a motorcycle license... Despite being a professional Motocross racer for 14 years, named the Monster Energy Supercross Rookie of the Year in 2015, being featured in countless of our own vlogs, owning multiple Harleys over the years, Cole never got around to getting his motorcycle license. So lance decided it was time to change that and forced Cole to go start the process and get his permit. Follow along to see if our boy passes the test after the 6th try!

Originally from Cali, I took my motorcycle test in Wisconsin. Easiest place to get your permit & license. Riding 28° with wind chill.

I live in Virginia and didn't want to take the MSF course or spend the money, so I did it the "unconventional" way. I studied, unlike Cole lol, and went to the DMV and took the written exam, passed 100% the first time lol, so easy and held my permit for a year. I bought my friends 03 GSXR600 and rode solo and with them. Luckily, the local dmv shut down after covid and moved locations, but the course was still on the lot painted. So, I went there and practiced the 4 tests like every weekend. The four tests consited of of from a stop, making a left turn and staying within the lines and coming to a non skidding stop with your front tire in the box. The next test wasa two part test basically, so from a stop you weave through like 4 or 5 cones I believe, then a right turn and ending with a right hand u-turn, 500 and under has a smaller turning space than 600cc and above. The third test is quick stop from a steady speed of like 15mph and coming to a stop without skidding. Finally the last test is accelerating and maintaing like 15 mph and at a certain marker swerving left or right and coming to a stop. The tester thought I was a lil crazy for taking the tests on a sportbike like the 600, but I passed, just put my foot down once on the cone weave.

I missed that same question about following a car in front of you at night closer to use their headlights. I got my bike & permit during Covid, couldn’t make appointments at the dmv at that time. I had to go a few times on my day off to get in line at like 6am, shit sucked! Got the permit tho! I took the safety course to get my license, 2 day program about 6-7 hours each day. Saves me about $350 a year having that certification on insurance. That covered the cost of the class

Got mine in Tennessee when I was 14 now I’m 69 1/2 still riding just got a new Road Glide CVO ST and I got a Street Glide that’s a Navy Seal paint job in remembrance of a local Seal Team 6 it’s bad ass steals the show every year in Sturgis. Love to watch you guys . Cole Sealy definitely a good pickup . Being a Harley dealer since 1955 I was 1 then I’ve seen a lot . Got Honda franchise in 1969 got my first Cr250 in 1973 And raced motocross till 1998 . I knew all the old mx riders then . My heroe was Marty Smith . Got to see Trans USA races in ST Louis Missouri. Watched the Russian team there and all other countries. What y’all got coming for the new Road Glide ST?

Had the same things happen to me over here in Georgia over the 25 years of riding. Our drivers licence says recreational vehicle which is what usually a motorcycle is. Cops usually just give a ticket of what they pulled you over for here, but I've had my bike impounded once. Been pulled over by all of them, sheriff, police, gsp, marshall, ect. So for Cole, I feel your pain but reluctance to conform, cause the thought doesn't cross your mind until you get pulled over.

In CA you used to be able to get your MC license at 15. Only good advice I ever got from my old man was "never let your motorcycle license expire."

How would it expire any different than your driving licenses? .. pay the fee.. bam, new one. I've had one for 15- 20 years.. no issues. And I deffinetly remember not being sold beer in that time because of a expired license.

​​@@dormantmenaceAny time you change states, add endorsements (class A, commercial, tanker, hazmat, doubles, renewal) they always say "does this look correct". I've seen the MC endorsement disappear (more than once) during the process and had it corrected before I walked out. MC license 40+ years.

I cannot believe Cole failed the test 5 times in a row. Passed on the first time. Got the book in the morning, studied it at work (don't employ me at Thrashin!), and took the test that lunch. Been riding dirt bikes when I was a teen from an XR75 to 125, but got my first road bike, a Heritage Softail, in my early 30s. Darn bike was a fat hog for the DMV course. The large front tire and fender made it impossible to see the lines. I called the MSF coordinator and left a message saying I was on vacation and ready to take the course. He called me later in the afternoon, and asked if I can attend the class starting that night and the weekends. Sure no problem. Showed up and the instructor asked everyone how long did they have to wait. All the replies were around 4 months. When he got to me, I told him that I signed up for the wait list today. I was the most hated student in the class by the looks of everyone. Passed the class and got my M1 the next business day. Been lane splitting, carpool lane riding for my commute ever since. Experienced the raging cagers that weave to cut me off, or open a door.

They said guys that been riding forever struggle with those questions bc there is no black and white all gray .. when u have a lifetime of experience and situations it changes your answers or makes all of em look right and wrong at the same time At least I got a permit now so if we get pulled over my brothers Not bailing me out

If you release the rear brake and your wheels aren’t aligned it’s possible to High side off the motorcycle as the rear tire regains traction. The recommendation for a rear wheel lockup is hold the brake unless you are sure the wheels are aligned.

in Ontario Canada we have to do a written test if you pass you have your M1 then you have to wait a minimum of 60 days and take a parking lot mini couse test to get your M2 and then if you take an approved course you have to wait a min of 22 months to do a road test to get your full M license. Zero alcohol tolerence for M1 and M2 also on M1 you can not go on any roads that are over 90km or carry a passenger

DMV personnel will not allow you to film the motorcycle driving portion. U’ll have to go stealth so we can see video of Cole testing😆 If he’s really worried, there’s usually other DMV’s that will let you practice their course outside business hours👍

When I went and re took mine they made me have to re do my drivers license test as well that's pretty lame you can't get you endorsement without passing your diver license test.

Great Vlog - hilarious! But an unrelated comment…….. You guys keep pimping your TSC gear, but there’s never anything sized for girls. The ONLY thing in XS is the stealth glove, which I own, and even that’s too big. (The hand & fingers fit, but curiously, the thumb has about a half inch of glove beyond my thumb.) Anyway, you do have a dedicated female following, and it would be nice if you even offered, say, one t-shirt to fit a 5-foot, 96-pounder like me. K so I watch your channel am subscribed, love the content, purchased merch from Thrashin, taco gloves, pocket tee shirts, need a pocket on my tee shirts, you should have more maybe, but my question is about rear break pedals mostly, I have a 2022 street glide st and hate the break pedal that my toe is underneath and have to lift my foot back and up to apply the brake, not very good for a quick response of breaking when needed, have looked at your site for parts and am still a bit confused about which specific part or parts I would need that would fit my bike and remedy this problem…your help in this would be greatly appreciated…I would prefer black and probably need the brake pedal perhaps and I kinda want to get passenger foot pegs, black, although I’m not set up for a passenger but would like the option to rest my legs at times in that position…please advise me on the parts and I will gladly purchase as I believe you have quality products…thnx

Cole take the Harley MSF Course! Now that you have your permit, once you pass the class (which you would do with your eyes closed), you go to the DMV with the certificate of completion and you get your license. You won't have to take the DMV riding test! Great Vlog as always!

Started on dirtbikes at age 4...rode my dirtbike all over town at 12 like a hooligan🤣 at 16 i got a sportster. Never got my bike license until 2 yrs ago at age 44. Rode all those years without it. Pennsylvania here, motorcycle test has 3 figure 8's, no slalom, and just a "go 30mph, start braking at thia line, stop before you get to this line" ... that figure 8 is definitely possible on a bagger but highly recommend using a small bike just to get it over with

That permit test is hard asf. I failed the first time and passed the second. The DMV is close to my house, so the other night I went to practice doing the circle. After about 2 mins, I realized that shit is damn near impossible on a street glide.

This shizz funny AF.....I lived in a state where no M license was needed so when I moved to a state that required it I just never bothered. I finally moved to another state and got my permit so I could ride my Street Glide and then I sold the SG and let the permit expire, finally bought another bike, never studied and passed the permit test no problem, I was considering going through a course to get the license but said F it and made the appointment to do the road test and I passed it, barely😝 but I don't care I got my mo-effing M on my license! And that's what matters most! Like Cole I was riding dirt bikes as a kid and have had a motorcycle at random times in my life and you never forget how to ride, a damn M doesn't mean anything except you paid to go through the states BS.
