Can we take a moment to admire that fine Black King Scott. After all the family has done to him he still was willing to embrace her racist family. I am so glad his wife defended him all the way. I really enjoyed their dynamic in their relationship. As for that “expert” I think she was racist too. That man barely said anything and she hushed him right away to then try to narrate a different story of financial support. That woman said she was married 4 times and they only issue was when she married a black man in which the sister admitted to. Lord bless that man for the patience he has. That “expert” dismissed him and the truth in which Sally should have intervened. God bless that beautiful couple and I hope they stood together through it all.

One of the saddest reasons a grown adult can give for why they believe in something is, "It's just how I was raised." No deeper thought into it than that.

Right?! So cringey.I was thinking the exact same thing!! They keep saying men came between these women and families. Um... they never even met Scott. I kept waiting for her to say even though they're wrong or anything. They wouldn't make tv like this today. The ignorance... poor scott probably feels guilty for no reason at all.

The actual reason is the racism in that family. We need to point out the problem to find a solution. The therapist annoyed me trying so hard to avoid the real problem.

I don't know where to start with that third set. The nauseating age gap (you know it's the 90's because no one batted an eye at that), the sloppy seconds, the mom hooking up with Gene to prove he's a loser, dude's hairline -- it's all bad. Hope the daughter doesn't bring any more boyfriends home, mama might snatch those up too! 2nd group: Candy has serious main character syndrome. Notice how she kept trying to divert attention to herself? Speaking affectionately about him like she's *his* wife? That's not a friend, that's a snake in your nest. 1st couple was lovely and I hope they made peace with not having contact with the racist members of her family. We could all learn a lot from the first segment. Nowadays, people throw the word racism in the air and go crazy. But this is a nice example of people controlling their emotions and discussing the issue. You have to remember that even good people can be racist, as hard as that is to digest. I am absolutely against racism, but you can't be zero-tolerance about it, otherwise you're no better than a nazi. These things have to be discussed and ironed out properly otherwise we're just accepting each-other "because we have to" which is not a good enough excuse. I don't accept my black friends "because I have to", I accept them because they're good people whose company I enjoy!

That woman shouldn't want anything to do with the mother and sister who turned their backs on her after she supported them financially. They were just using her for her money. She found happiness and a beautiful family life with her good man and daughter. I'd never want to see them racist users ever again! As for the woman with the the "friend" that flirts with her husband she is a fool to remain her friend, and finally the mother who would betray her own daughter for a man is no good. The daughter should move on from that. Blood is thicker than water is bullsh-t. Your family is the one that is loyal and loving someone you can trust who is kind to you. Family in name only is bull.
