i started hitting my 3 wood like id hit a iron going though the ball more rather than driver type trying to add loft

Youre not supposed to hit it like a driver. Put it forward in your stance, how far is mostly personal preference. Try to just sweep the ground with the 3 wood, not add loft or deloft the club. If you have a 2 iron, try hitting it mostly like that and let the club to most of the work.

@@LyndsMX Yeah that 3 wood can either be really awesome or really tough I don’t think trying a 5 wood would be a bad idea either I personally play a 2 iron and 3 wood but when I had a hybrid I got really good at hitting that and then I used that feel for my 3 wood, but the biggest thing I’ve found for longer clubs is the timing of dropping your hands into the slot and then firing the hips.
