Did anyone else catch the line when he said "as a kid i used to be afraid of heights, now put that aside" then he drops a mix tape and talks about being up in the clouds. 👀 this dude probably has the next 10 years worth of songs already planned out in his head. Ive noticed he likes to sprinkle these little hints about his future work. Guy is a genius.

The "this isn't Nate's flow" part is a reference to Big Sean's song Bounce Back. (Uses a very similar flow from that song's verse.) Then later on we've got "wish that I could think like Big Sean does but I just can't decide" alluding Big Sean's album, I Decided, which Bounce Back is on.

All these song are connected because it’s his life, his inner reality and as he drives from that when he writes it’s all just a web of what was, is and will be. Then it’s quite easy to see all the strings attached to each other. It actually can’t be any other way. He is fabulous with the symbolisms for everything. It’s fascinating how person from other side of the planet can come up with same visual representations as me years ago and create songs. We are obviously much more connected and similar than we can imagine.

I'm not sure if anyone has put this together, it's not much, but in "When I Grow Up" he says I just want to make a couple mil, in this he says I just made a couple mil. He always seems to be so consistent with tying his songs together, even the little things.

I’m glad you caught the reference to ‘Real’ with the knife. In ‘Real’ he says ‘I took the machete, the game wasn’t ready’ and he’s wielding a knife. Lots of reactors and people pointed out that it was clearly not a machete, and in this he’s referencing a knife and is wielding a machete. Just sprinkled in for the fans I think, but definitely intentional. Been loving the reactions! Thank you and keep it up! 👍🏼

NF also shouted out Big Sean, the Rapper in a few ways: Many of these flows on this track are just like Big Sean's flows; NF is paying homage by emulating his flows, without biting him. We find ourselves amongst a species of our own kind who can't readily define those two. What is Consciousness? What does it mean to Exist? All I know is this: Without the Light of Truth, Awareness is lost and alone, confused and terrified in the darkness, with nothing and no one to Know and to Love. Without Truth, there is nothing. Heart and Mind... What do you really have? What is actually within your possession? What do you truly hold as a part of your being? "You can't take it with you when you go." What will you take with you when you go? Only Information, and nothing else... So, what is Heart and Mind when only Information survives? Heyyy think you were talking about my comment from your hope reaction. I am curious cuz nf does say "listening to what your heart says". Does that mean he is trusting his heart? Following his heart? Or just taking into consideration how his heart feels? From a Christian perspective letting your heart make your decisions or be the primary guiding factor in your life is...unwise. And to be fair, that might not be what nf was even saying. But I think alot of ppl will hear that. That we should trust what our heart says. Biblically we are to "trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will set your path straight. " to be clear there's nothing wrong with listening to what your heart says. But it shouldn't be making your decisions for you. I'm not saying your heart is always wrong. It can definitely steer you in the right direction sometimes, but it can also lead you astray. That's why you should use a more reliable method. You wouldn't use a compass that sometimes points you in the right direction.
