At first, I thought it was just the lack of smiling, the fact that he left his home and UA, and the cold/tired eyes from the last panel of Chapter 306 that reminded me of Eren from AOT Season 4. But now, he even has a motivation similar to Eren. Meaning that because Class 1-A is trying to stop him, he his willing to fight all of his closest friends just so he can keep moving towards his goal, which is to find All for One. At least he doesn't intend to kill anybody, unlike Eren.

Horikoshi loves parallels so here’s my theory: This arc is exactly like MVA Deku and Shigaraki have always paralleled each other.Shigaraki was out in the woods for a month without food,water,and was fighting relentlessly with no sleep then he went up against the Mets liberation army seemingly outmatched and for some reason had a flash back to his childhood and remembered the core reason has to why he became a villain in the first place which allowed him to unlock 100% of his power.Deku is in the same situation for a month he hasn’t had food,water and had had been fighting relentlessly without sleep.With Bakugos mean comments and mocking tone I highly suspect Deku to take a trip down memory road and remember the core reason he became a hero and I have a feeling it has little to do with AM.Every other user of OFA was able to use 100% the moment they got the power Deku is the only one that can’t probably because he’s the only one who can’t acknowledge his true reasoning for wanting to be strong and save people.Deku is seemingly outmatched by his class but will probably have a quirk awakening like Shigaraki and unlock the rest of his power.

Honestly my fave part of the chapter was characters like mineta, koda, hagkure and sero being the most adamant about getting the phone, showing that deku is admired by the whole class. Either way I’m excited for deku to tear shit up massively. Either way I understand both sides. All for one is a vulnerable state right now and has depleted resources but the problem is that deku can’t face him while a wreck. It’s just like the problem with all might placing everything on his shoulders when there are others who are willing to take the regins despite lacking power. I definitely think that deku could at least use the rest and support at least for the small fries to take on afo fully rested. I understand why both sides are fighting and it makes sense

I know right?! I love it! What would make it interesting if he defeated them all while barely trying, despite his fatigue. After it was over, Bakugo would stare at him as if he some kind of alien, he and a few others are left standing. Deku doesn't look at either of them as he activates his quirk and flees. That would snap Bakugo out of it and he would angrily chase him yelling his nickname. What would be more interesting if he had screamed IZuku's real name just before he could disappear from his sight and that's enough to make Izuku stop in his tracks.

Also, both parties definitely agree that they're all friends. Sasuke clearly wanted to end that friendship but Naruto refused. Also also, it was pretty clear in Shippuden that Sasuke only intended to use Orochimaru. So Naruto chasing him even after he was no longer in danger of Orochimaru's body transfer, it just became tiring. Here, Deku is lacking restraint and although he isn't entirely wrong to want to keep moving forward, it makes perfect sense that the class would forcibly stop that from happening.

I think you said it before, but it's really starting to come to light: Deku is the symbol of Hope, not the symbol of Peace. I know it may be unlikely due to being a shonen protagonist, but I think the fight between Deku vs. Class 1-A would cause him a panic/anxiety attack: with the uselessness he felt for not stopping Tomura, the pressure of the environment, all the not eating/sleeping, the constant movement, his continuous encounters with villains and AFO's manipulations and schemes, and now a fight THAT MAY GET VIOLENT with the classmates he thought he could protect by staying away, the possibility of Deku having a panic attack, hurting them by losing control of his powers is not neccesarily impossible.

what if the security thing nezu was talking about was just a ruse to lower the guards of everyone one in U.A so something could happen while they're gone. Nezu was acting a little bit suspect this chapter because why didn't he go through with the security bubble in the cultural festival despite being the perfect opportunity to test it and the fact that U.A has been a villain playground for most of the series. As tired as he is, I don’t see Deku clapping the entire class that easily, but I don’t see him losing either as it will hurt his development this early on into the final act and we have so much more to see. On top of that, his analytical side is gonna be a major factor for him and his other quirks would give an element of surprise. There’s his final quirk too which could be unlocked in this battle too. I don’t see anyone winning though so I’m expecting a draw where everyone passes out or outside interference

I think both sides are right. Class 1-A would get completely folded by Shigaraki/AFO, I doubt they could even beat Deku at full power. So Deku is right to think that he should distance himself, but they're also right in the fact that first of all, they're heroes. they don't need protecting because that is their job. He doesn't need to shoulder the burden by himself. Second, there's no way he could beat Shigaraki/AFO in this fatigued state, like you said.

Class 1-A does not have the power to stand next to Deku on the battlefield, Class 1-A will have to leave the titan that is Shigaraki to Deku alone. Even though this is the case, they will be the ones to motivate him to go Plus Ultra, which makes them important. But out of respect to the power that is All for One, having a character like Froppy or Sero doing anything serious to him would just be comical. I hope class 1-A will understand the difference in their power in comparison to Deku, especially Bakugou. Bakugou's taunting is not the way he should have handled this situation but is the only way he knows how. Deku's mental state is not one to taunt or poke at, I hope he will understand this and face Deku seriously.

This fight’s result will be interesting to read.

I think Principal Nezu is the traitor. Deku tends to overthink a lot during fights; it’s why he lost to Bakugo the first time. Everyone is preaching that Deku knows everyones weaknesses etc. but the same could be said here. The only one to not hesitate is going to be Bakugo, because that’s Deku’s biggest weakness is that he has to think for at least a second before doing anything. Overwhelming his critical thinking will be the biggest advantage for 1-A, plus Deku is exhausted and we have had enough evidence supporting that he’s at his limit or will be soon.

Bakugou and class A are going to fight Izuku to bring him back and their going to fail. Because if they bring him back what does that fix, Izuku literally will just leave again. Talking to him won't work because when Izuku makes his mind up on something theirs no changing it. Bakugou and class A will fight Izuku and they will lose. This arc is about to get even darker, more heart wrenching than the previous chapter with All Might. Also haven't you noticed how this Arc parallels the My Villain Academia Arc. Shigaraki went months without sleep and Barley ate while constantly fighting non stop against Gigantomachia, he then fought against the Meta Liberation Army and won. He won a fight were he was outmatched and seemly overpowered. The same thing is happening with Izuku, he's barely slept and eaten, he's been fighting none stop, and just like Shigaraki he's going to fight a group of people he's outmatched against and seemly overpowered by. Also don't forget he still hasn't used the second users quirk yet.

Tbh that kinda proves it in a way. When things seem bleak and he's alone, he lets his true emotions show, feeling the pressure of being the symbol of peace. Once he realizes there are others looking to him for hope, he puts on the smile, trying to give them the reassurance they need. All the while he's probably terrified on the inside. When All For One told All Might about Shigaraki being his mentor's grandson, he was completely devasted. He almost looked like he had given up right then and there. It was only when that citizen cried out for All Might did he smile again. If it weren't for his passion to save others, he wouldn't seem so optimistic

I don't know if anyone notice it, but there is a huge similarity between the panel of Deku saying "get out of my way" and the one in chapter 157 in which Deku activates 100% of OFA asking Eri "Can you land me your power?". In one Deku is asking help, in the other he is rejecting it

On any other occasion I think that Deku would probably win, especially if he was at full heath. But for the sake of what makes sense for the plot (which I don't really mind), I still think it's too early to have him return. Here's what I think is gonna happen: I think it will be a really close fight, but ultimately result in having Deku relenting or backing down. However, still thinking about the need to pursue his journey alone (with his current stress on Defeating AFO and Shigaraki), he'll agree to go back, but with his own agenda in mind. I think he'll leave peacefully, but at some point in route, he'll use his quirk smoke screen to escape. After escaping, and being alone with his thoughts for a while, that's when he'll run into The Hero Killer Stain. I think he'll be the real one to have Midoriya rediscover what being a hero means to him.

Yeah, I honestly like this theory. I’ve actually been jokingly telling my brother what if he fights but then eventually surrender and then goes back with them, gets healed and freshens up for a bit, sleep, eat y’know? And then just BOUNCES XD But him meeting Stain is something I didn’t think of but would definitely like. I mean Horikoshi has to have something planned for him.

It's also possible that he goes back for a bit, refreshes etc, then finally has a true talk with the class about his mission. I hated the letters thing. I'd like to see him actually talk with them and Nezu. Learn about UAs safety barrier. Let it rest his mind. Then explain to 1A that like he couldn't help but support All Might from the sidelines, they can't fight AFO/Shigaraki. They understand and point out that there's still Dabi, Toga and their army leaders out there. They'll be back up for that. Deku would take the lead as he has on his own. Their job is like Deku's when they rescued Bakugo- get the civilians out and take down the little guys but leave the Big Bad to Deku.

@@jayenee2 I didn’t even think about him making a come up on some rest and resources. That’s actually smart. He might just take what he needs, then after he’s good he just up and dips. That might low key be ooc for him to just rob his schoolmates though 😂. But Idk why, I just feel like it’s just fitting to have someone like Stain, who most would consider a villain, persuade Deku with his ideals. His stance on heroism was so solid, to the point that it shook a good portion of the public, so it just makes sense to me. I feel like it’s the irony that’s gonna hit Deku because of the role reversal.

Seeing that Izuku is on the borderline of insanity it wouldn't be surprising if he starts battling them sane and then gradually goes berserk during their fight. I actually would love to see that. Also hope that Sparky Sparky Boomman doesn't go too murderous on him. Or at least Deku *REALLY* gives him a run for his money this time. My prediction, Izuku is going to take down everyone in class 1A leaving only Bakugo and Uraraka. He'll face down Bakugo and remember everything he's done to him when they were kids, the bullying and beat him down. As Izuku is beating up Bakugo, Uraraka will rush in to try to stop him but will get injured. Seeing her injured Izuku will finally snap out of it and work with the others.

I think that this prediction is a very close sentiment of what the next chapter is going to be like. Because of how much Deku has grown, I think that it will mainly be your Uraraka and Bakugou facing him off in the end. Because if anyone has been following the story, Uraraka is the light that Deku needs and she will out of everyone be the most likely person to save Izuku. And I ask anyone else who feels this way. Had anyone ever wondered... What will Izuku have to become to stop All for One?
