In my high school history class, many many years ago. Our teacher was a diminutive fellow, mild mannered weighing perhaps 140 pounds. One of my fellow students was a pain in the ass and challenged the teacher send him to the principle's office. Student weighed maybe 200 pounds. Teacher had had a rough day and finally had enough. He told the kid "no, I'm not taking you to the principals office", whereupon, he walked over to the kid, picked him up and tossed him out the window. Kid came back the next day and apologized, and was very quiet. We loved it. No names here.

"No names"? Come on!! I remember one time in class in Jr. H. S. there was this smart ass punk (not too dissimilar to Vic Morrow's character here) who kept mouthing off to this middle aged++ male teacher all the time. Finally, one day the teacher had enough and told punk to get out and go to Principal's office. The kid wouldn't. So the teacher lost it! Grabbed the kid, smacked the kid around, then thru him out. That kid was a mess. In H. S. he was a drunk all the time I think he died in the street an alcoholic in like his late 20's. Also, in Jr. H. S. we had a couple of other psycho punks. One time they put a bomb in desk of a black English teacher (on 1st floor). But it exploded as they were jumping out the window. I was sitting in French class on 3rd floor. We all heard a loud BOOM!! and the desks all jumped off the floor. To say the least, those 2 punks were gone!! Both probably long dead.

Surprisingly not my first time hearing a story of this kind. My mother told a story a teacher who lifted these two bully kids by their shirts and chucked them down the stairs and told them to go to the principals office, which they did. My father had the best story, a teenage kid, 17 or 18, wanted to fight this teacher after school. They met by his car, they boxed the teacher's vehicle in so he couldn't leave. Teacher was smart, he took the first shot and made sure it bled. Teacher was a former boxer. Maybe my dad exaggerated a little bit but he said it looked like 7 punches in 2 seconds, if they were barely visible to the human eye. Put the kid in the hospital. The teacher was transferred, not fired. Though honestly should have kept him. That student would most definitely have been a very well behaved boy the rest of his time I'm school. Moral of the story, always ask old people what their best, teachers from the old days stories.

When were you in high school? This (almost) happened at Redondo High school around 1970-71, in Drivers Ed. class, it was a warm day, the only door in the room was open wide, this was a FULL,and well-behaved classroom, but I soon noticed the young, thirtyish male teacher was looking, and looking outside; so he got up and went out - and most of the class was rushing over to the open door, NO, me and alot of others couldn't see what was going on. One of the boys said the teacher was breaking up a fight between two boys - soon one of them pulled a knife on him! But soon another teacher came out, and that was broken up, the knife was taken from him and the other teacher was taking both of them over to the principals office - so we suddenly rushed back to our desks, our teacher came back in, but he didn't talk about it.

@detectivefiction3701 Жыл бұрын
Inlonging. You're incorrect about no one in the movie batting an eye when the "n"-word was said. On the contrary, the Mr. Dadier character is reprimanded by the principal because the principal to heard that Dadier used that word in his classroom (he did but was just repeating it as a word that shouldn't be used by other races against black people). Despite what many today believe, I don't think racial slurs were all that socially acceptable in the 1950s; many people probably considered them, if not immoral, then vulgar and crass.
