wow. you told your player she didnt have the guts? then your proud she played hurt? you are hurting your players psychologically. you need to listen to sue enquist speeches. what a shame it is what youre doing to young athletes. no wonder she didnt tell you. she has no trust in you. you should not be coaching kids.

Computer Blue, You really don’t understand a competitive spirit. My daughter hated to lose more than she loved to win. She would do anything not to lose, pitch with bleeding blisters, supergluing fingers (her fingers looked exactly like that girls). Let me assure you from first hand experience. Sue was not always peaches and cream and would call players names that can’t be used in mixed company. She knew how to tear players down at a particular moment but build them up even better. It’s a process but I will say the players are softer now and coaches treat them differently especially with the portal.
