I always preferred War Machine to Iron Man when I was a nipper watching the cartoons, and now that he's been out for a while he's going for as low as £13 from what I've seen. Might pick him up with 20th anniversary Cap when some kind of funding sweeps my way. By the way, Dave, I love your channel. I'm only a recent collector and have no intention of getting every character ever, just ones that inspire me or are particularly pretty (Cap, Spiral, etc), but I've really enjoyed your content and have had your "As Told By Toys" videos, and top 50s on while up late at night working or doing other things, and they've been a real joy. I've even begun dabbling in comic creation with characters of my own thanks to your videos, so I really am grateful for the fun you have here.

You can always make more, even into old age, but these toys are only sold for a limited time before they become even more expensive if we wanted them. I like your thinking! Are you familiar with the Yamaguchi War Machine? What do you think of that one and the Yamaguchi Bleeding Edge Iron Man? No.16 and No.13 are their numbers I think. I'd like both of those probably, and something about their head and mask shapes I like a lot. That is one of the most important aspects for me when deciding on these figures. Ever since I was very young I've loved War Machine, more than Iron Man even. I think out of all heroes that was the one I always would play as a hero, and besides that then maybe Venom but I considered Venom a villain and my favorite to play as in games and things. I also love The Punisher. David would've mailed me a War-Machine / Punisher mashup figure that someone sent him but I didn't like it and wanted David to save the gift and favor for something else! What do you think of Mezco prices also? The only Mezco I finally ordered, and it included a non-refundable down payment, was the Spider-Man deluxe re-release that recently became available. I'd be very interested in seeing how they might make a new classic Venom figure and also to see if the Predator figure becomes available again because that looked pretty awesome and well sculpted also.

Haha, I really enjoyed this video and the ad in the end as well, and the blooper too! I might have liked to see (and maybe you can film it or do it in a live stream) the unmasked head from the deluxe on this body to see how it looks with the new color scheme. I think I might get this version too, I really liked how it was looking, and I thought it would look nice with a whole crew of black and white characters like The Punisher and maybe even the new Ghost Rider's color scheme as well and some other black and white characters I have.

I think a War Machine repaint of the Modular Iron Man is gonna appear sooner or later. We know how much Hasbro likes to reuse and save money. However, I'm thinking it'll wait until late 2023 or perhaps 2024 since this new War Machine came out or will come out soon.

Missing these premieres & streams are so disappointing 🥲 but damn, besides that, these figure actually looks pretty nice! But honestly, I don't like how the blast effects don't have any smoke. And I don't like how the other effect doesn't have some red. But other than that, looks really nice! I don't need this one, I would really only get him to take the repulsor blast hand and put it on the deluxe. But if you don't have the deluxe, all good! He is gonna be a must get. Also Dave, you can keep that War Machine, and put him in the West Coast Avengers! If you want to!

Thanks for the entertaining review although true, it was surplus to requirements since I already have the Deluxe. I did like seeing the differences. I do hope you continue to purchase and review Marvel Legends even if you sell most not long after the review beause I really enjoy your unique take on them. Plus, even with those you don't keep, at least you keep a little video reference for future videos and comparisons. Speaking of comparisons, it would have been nice to see the 80th Iron Man next to your two War Machines, but at least Marvel Legends Cap made an appearance. Finally, you added a little lively jazz music at certain points, around 6 minute mark for example, and that one distracted me from your beautiful words. I get why you do a music background, but not all musics fit. Maybe it was just me.

I have an idea for a video I'd like to see! It might even make for an alright Live Stream Help type video where people send you their suggestions and ideas which you can add to your notes. So, because so much of this collecting has to do with the looks of the characters and their designs, I wanted a video discussing characters that would be paired well against others based on their appearance, such as "evil versions" that could face off against a hero, even if there are multiple. So for example, maybe Hawkeye with his sort of winged eye-mask head gear would make sense visually against Batroc The Leaper for example, and Spider-Man goes well against Venom, Dr. Doom's Spider-Man, Scorpion, and Tarantula possibly as sort of opposites that are like evil versions of Spider-Man. Dr. Strange could go well against Count Nefaria, Baron Mordo in his original look, Dracula, and The Mandarin, even though the Mandarin is often placed against Iron Man, this is just about their looks and how they might act as sort of the villainous version of certain characters, and what figures from any line could work against them. It can extend beyond Marvel into anything. It also doesn't matter to me if the figure has bern made, but there could be suggestions of how it could be put together using modern pieces and parts. It would inspire people to really try to get into making more of their collections and setting up cool display scenes, since I think a lot of people like the kind of symmetry that an evil counter-design offers. So Captain America vs. maybe Hydra Supreme or Citizen V Zemo and Red Guardian and Captain Britain and others. Also good matching members that look like they could go well together due to their appearance or color schemes. You could also then use a lot of SEO search terms to get in people looking for those characters on any odd day. It could extend to similar looking monsters facing off against each other as well, like N'Astirh either working with or against Fin Fang Foom. It could even mix series, like Bane working with or against Marvel's own masked luchador looking Muscle Man Rage or whatever, and others like KG Beast, or Namor vs Aquaman, Terrax vs Darkseid vs Thanos vs Apocalypse haha, so many fun ideas could be brought up and how they might combine d even who you might think would win, which can incite a lot of discussion in the comments. You could even cut it up and make it a series that just discusses a few at a time or one character and ehat would go nicely with it or against it based on its appearance and colors and shapes and stuff. Modok vs Sugar Man or whatever as two big headed figures. Magneto vs some other similarly helmeted looking character like Genis Vell maybe, but there are probably better ones. I guess it is also similar to the fighting games where you might fight a version of your own character. I'd love to hear people's ideas about that. All the characters that wear hoods and cloaks could be set up together, some against others potentially. There could be a whole team that has a matching white costumed appearance and villains that also counter them but match each.

The new Solomon Grundy wave is on Big Bad Toy Store. The two villains look pretty bad but Al Ghul can also work as an over-large Count Nefaria, especially with some additional tweaking to make it look better, otherwise a bearded Namor head can help, but I think What If? Doctor Strange works well potentially too! Does anyone have any ideas for figures or heads that could work for The Mandarin? I wanted to potentially use one of these Warmachine figures as a hijacked suit being used by the Mandarin. Speaking of theft, there is a video out there where Joe Rogan talks about Tik Tok's Terms of Service which mentions how many extra areas they may be able to extract data from. Tony Stark's company and secrets may be of interest to The Mandarin. Oh, of course some versions of Ming The Merciless with green skin could work, but what I'd like ideally is long hair and the facial hair, the skin color being green may not be necessary.

So I'm trying to work up the nerve to buy this Sasquatch Baf figure from ebay but I've never done it before and I'm nervous I might get screwed. I've looked at his reviews, as well as his sales numbers and they seem pretty legit plus the price is t crazy low or high it's about what I feel it's worth (after shipping and handling 50) I don't have a pay pal account so again I'm a little nervous to use cash app card. Hi. Actually, even for Ebay stuff that says it requires to pay by Paypal, you can still pay with your credit card, and someway somehow, it will make the conversion. I don't even have an active Paypal account. I think it's a good price for the figure. One question I would ask the seller, because I got burnt myself, is if there's any articulation loose. On my Sasquatch, the left arm was loose and it couldn't stay up unless I posed it horizontally and/or up.

Is anyone else having any issues with War Machines interior hip joint? It's weird because it's not tight or stiff. When I try to move the leg it'll move a bit but it'll move back to its original position. I soaked it in hot water twice but I can't get them to move and stay.

That’s strange, I’ve not encountered that myself. Definitely sounds like the plastic is stuck but beyond a hot water bath I’m not sure what to suggest.

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour yeah, the hot water usually works. All the other limbs are nice and loose after the bath but that inner thigh pivot is not really moving. I can't twist or turn it at all. Hopefully during some playtime it'll loosen up. Thanks for the reply. If you ever see David tell him he's a big reason I started collecting Marvel Legends. I just started collecting them this year. I saw a video he did on Spiral and he had the biggest smile with childlike wonder and it reminded me of what it felt like to just simply look at a cool toy and find a little joy. I'd like it to stay for that reason at least, I think it is cool to see how it compares with the Diamond Select, with other Marvel Legends, as a representation for that size of Marvel Legends also. I have the Gamerverse body painted Hulk and the Professor Hulk Ruffalo Hulk build a figure, since I'm not too fond of the Immortal Hulk's expression and the 80th Hulk's face either, which are standard Hulk faces but I personally like my Hulk's to be a little more on the handsome side if that is possible haha. One of the worst Hulk faces that I've seen was on the side of the box art for the Diamond Select packaging which I think David should also keep that image at least because of how ridiculous it looks with a small bowl cut like he went to Doctor Octopus' barber. I'm excited about the Diamond Select Red Hulk that I've pre-ordered also, and I'd like to see how the Legends and Select Apocalypse figures scale with everything and each other and also the new Beta Ray Bill from Diamond Select, I also have the Marvel Legends version of that. I think from the images so far I might be liking the Marvel Legends one more for that but it could be that in person the Diamond Select might look cool too. I really like how the Diamond Select Hulk was looking behind the other figures when he set them up all together. I just wish there were some more expressions to work with, since I like some more neutral expressions to which can represent standing around for dialogue.
