This was a big song I mean I remember being in the backseat and this was on the radio there were no tapes yet. In fact I never knew the expression" good God y'all" ( nobody did)until this song

I've always felt that this style of singing owes its existence to Black preachers. Like Edwin Star, Dennis Edwards of the Temptations turned that "preacher's growl" into a recognizable stamp of Black music. If you would, please consider reviewing the Temptations song "1980". It's one of their many songs that showcases this style of singing. YOUR voice & style reminds me of those soulful 70's radio DJ's; whom I deeply miss. In this world of KZbin reactors?...your style is refreshingly different. Keep doing YOU!! I'm subscribing.
