I think there is a line you guys missed that is pretty important. At the end of the part where he is going through things to kill he ends it with "Kill these metaphors I write to all attachments in this life". I think he means it as a metaphor to get rid of the things that hold you back in life.

I seem to recall Ren was raised "half-hippy", so I think it's along the lines of the ninth century Buddhist sage Lin Chi, who once told a monk, "If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him." The idea being that you need to kill all your misconceptions, and you'll only find enlightenment from within, and from yourself. Ren alludes to this track being metaphorical in nature and I think he's doing the same as Lin Chi, but in a tongue-in-cheek and playful manner.
