One thing I will say about Zack snyder is that he's got a VERY SPECIFIC style of art not suited to IP's suck as certain DC properties, but he'd be perfect in say the mortal Kombat, predator, altered carbon, terminator and Batman franchises because his style is more closely related to those types.

Didn’t the Aquaman movie establish that only Atlantean royalty can breathe on the surface?” No. The line you’re thinking of states that only “highborn” Atlanteans can, not “royal,” so, just as the knights of real-life medieval history were considered nobility, it’s totally feasible this Atlantean leading a group tasked with protecting the ancient Mother Box could be, too. Also note Diana’s line just afterward, featured in this same video: she assumes Arthur must be only mixed Atlantean because Bruce points out he could breathe, but there is no reason to believe the Atlantean guard was, so clearly the movie is suggesting there could be other things going on. EDIT: Also, I just remembered the Atlantean soldier we’re shown suffocated when he was unmasked out of the water did not look human, as I recall, like the highborns we see do (Arthur, Mera, Vulko, etc.), including this Atlantean guard here.

To make an essentially billion times better looking film with only $70 million dollars to reshape it is awe-inspiring. Especially for the VFX. This goes to show that more than just money was involved in the remaking of this film. But a love and passion for Zack Snyder and his original vision. As I recon it cost most of that $70 million dollars just to get the actors, crew and locations back for additional cinematography. Unless they did it for a pay cut or for free? An this is not coming from a Zack Snyder fan if Im honest. Though this scene is beautiful to look at. Aside from Darkseid it is so hard to tell what is real and what is not.

Gabe Mark cuz for some reason WB couldn't show BvS as a full movie and they couldn't let Ayer complete his vision of SS cuz they didn't want it to b like BvS in terms of its tone, and they decided to make the production team reshoot almost all the scenes of Justice League. Look at where the franchise is at now. Some good films have been made sure, but the studios need to let ppl express their full vision for movies. Especially Zack Snyder and David Ayer. It's too bad we never got to c their visions when their movies came out. Snyder's we did get years later but it's not canon unfortunately, and we still aren't getting Ayer's vision yet nor r we getting Justice League 2 and 3 any time soon.

This scene proves the guy in the warehouse from BvS who got hit with a crate was not necessarily killed. In fact, assuming consistency in intent on Snyder’s part in depicting identical injuries (back of a man’s head smashing against a wall and leaving a trail of blood behind), the Atlantean’s clearly surviving it actually outright confirms the guy Batman did it to did, too, and he must just be knocked out. EDIT: No, his being Atlantean does not make a difference to the fact they are experiencing identical injuries. See my explanations below if you don’t get it.

They are able to take more of a hit than a human before it would hurt them, not experience an equivalent injury but heal from it anyway. So getting your skull cracked and bleeding from the back of your head means proportional damage was done to the Atlantean as was done to the human, meaning the guard was thrown much harder (no surprise, since he’s being handled by Apokoliptians, not a wooden crate), but since he himself is also much stronger than a human thug, it equals out to the same level of injury: a smashed back of the head with a trail of blood. Atlanteans need their skulls, blood, and brains just as much as humans do, so that means that’s just as bad of news for the Atlantean as it is for the human. What YOU are describing would only be true if the scene instead depicted the Atlantean after being thrown against the rock being completely uninjured and unfazed, in contrast with how the human was depicted, but no, they are in fact experiencing the same issues.

@K. Lind Man of Steel was not a logical movie. Superman had the option to fight them in space and kept throwing them into buildings killing thousands of people. He was raised as Clark Kent from an infant and decides his true name is Kal-El because a hologram explained he's an alien. His dad told him, Maybe let children die. He snapped Zod's neck to keep him from lazering people even through A. Those people had an immense amount of room to run away and B. Zod can just shift his eyes over to them and they die but he decides he can only stare directly forward. Zod wants to get Superman to join him so he... Shows him piles of skulls in a dream somehow. Zod wants to make a home for Kryptonians so he... Kills 7 billion people and pisses off the one guy who can defeat him despite the fact that he could bring the world engines to any other planet and surely Clark would be willing to tag along and let them use his blood to make Krypto Babies with the codex. Man of Steel was awful. Then you have Avengers... Loki doesn't kill Tony immediately despite deciding he'll stab his own brother so they can have a conversation that doubles as an iconic character moment. Thanos could've done it himself from the start... Otherwise, yeah not that bad. Joker? Well it's a simple grounded story there really isn't much for plotholes or gaps in logic. I guess the cops could've figured out Arthur would be on the tonight show IF they released it publicly? The Batman? Well alot of characters get extremely lucky. The high dude talks way too much for a high dude even though he's high. That's about it until the third act, even then it kinda works. Why does Batman lead them from water into more water? Idk. There's little bits and bobs here and there but ultimately saying superhero movies forget logic just lumps them all into the same category when they wildly vary. And on that scale the entire Snyderverse is just a step above the CW and Phase 4.

Very simple. The logic is they wanted to interrogate some Atlanteans for information. So normally you would know how many soldiers, traps, weapons, what strategy, moves and technology they need to accomplish this. So when you see Steppenwolf is there and then they used a spider brain hack thing in the end...it means all the above has already happened and they expect the audience to be able to think for themselves instead of a spoon feeding them. You guys need some scenes/characters or exposition to spoon feed you. Good movies just show you. The rest you need to connect.

All they needed to do was a JL sequel or two. Warner is still clueless. ZS's JL is the best DCEU film Warner produced. All they had to do was cut this four-hour version into two parts, like they did with the last Harry Potter film. They spent needless money on the Whedon cut in an obviously lame attempt to copy the Avengers film. Poaching talent from Marvel didn't work then. And yet new management continues to make the same mistakes that old management made. Poaching Gunn from Marvel will likely prove a mistake. Gunn is not a cinematic filmmaker, and his DC work is mediocre at best. Gunn's superhero work looks like a cosplay version of a Saturday Morning Cartoon from the 1980s, with added nostalgic-pop soundtrack.
