Here is the thing. I've been doing video editing and working with 3D animation since the 90s. Your cheapest computer today will be faster than what I used back then. So it can be done. There are always tricks for improving performance. If what you are doing isn't working, change what you're doing.
@Ebani4 жыл бұрын
The thing is that you'd have to use the software from the 90s in order to get back that performance, as most modern software will require modern hw as well as a modern os, which ends up killing performance just by using it. So in practice unless you go out of your way (like cgmatter in this vid), the lower end computers of today will perform about the same, if not worst. You might think i'm kidding about the 'worst' part but you haven't seen my brother's bloated laptop...

If you're not familiar with drawing tablets, I have 2 tips, # 1: don't be scared of getting one without a screen, it only took me a few hours to get used to and within a week it almost felt more natural than a regular mouse... But part of that is because tip # 2: actually use it, throw away your mouse for a while until you get used to it, maybe find some games you can play using it, such as OSU or some point and click adventure games, it's good practice, it helped me a lot... Yeah, esp. if you don't need to get rid of all noise for a clean render, but just want a preview. Or maybe use low samples + heavy denoising.
