The part that I loved about that podcast, is when he was talking about ammo. He was saying they couldn’t get ammo to test fire their product. And he said “if we can’t get ammo, I know the American people can’t get ammo. So we bought an ammo plant”. I said to myself, ok, I’ll do everything I can to support this company.

People have no idea. This is the best firearms company for the second amendment period. Anyone that says their products are subpar is on crack. They put all of the profits back into the business and their manufacturing process is incredible. I’ve not seen another manufacturer even close. This paired with direct to consumer makes them the main company every American should support. Can’t wait for that krink!

@@ms6derek 100% agree. You're absolutely right and the people who trash them are clueless. Everyone should be backing PSA fully, they're one of the only ones out there not gouging you and lying to you. They want to make firearms more available and keep them affordable. They want ammo to be in supply. They want to innovate. @@BlackDiamondGandG There are two things that PSA does that are shady. Firstly, they do not send magazines to capacity limited states. Those firearms are required to be shipped to FFLs and those FFLs must modify the magazines to the limited capacity at the purchaser's expense. Secondly, they often sell firearms manufactured by other companies at MSRP as a sale item. Case in point, CZ Shadow 2 Compact today at $1299 as a sale price when that is MSRP (PSA regular price at $1999). Kudos on their own stuff and ammo but they are not always upstanding.

@@octavian1783 The thing is, if they DID send the standard capacity mags to a state that outright bans them, they are now in the crosshairs of state-level legal action against their company, lawsuits that would make Remington blush and the customer that bought the mag is bound to end up with a heavily armed knock at their door. Just because YOU don't agree with that state's regulation doesn't automatically make PSA immune to legal action for shipping banned items to said states... You break a law (regardless of how stupid it may be), you put yourself in a position for legal retaliation from the state who passed it. Sad but true.
@octavian1783
@octavian1783 Ай бұрын
@@Blitzkrieg_WolfPSA has to ship to an FFL in that restrictive state. The FFL has to modify them permanently to the limited capacity before transferring. The person to whom the firearm is transferred has to sign a document confirming the magazines they received have been altered to the state capacity limit. Not much legal jeopardy there. Jeopardy is on the FFL if they do not modify the magazines.

Newer PSA customer. Read all sorts of bad stuff about them and wasn’t until I shot someone’s rifle put together with some PSA parts I bothered to look into them. Read their mission statement and learned their history that screams they truly believe their mission statement. I’ve found I don’t buy anything firearm related without looking to see if PSA sells it. And lately regardless what it is, if PSA sells it that’s where I order it because often times PSA prices are lower than others even being on sale. I have 3 PSA BCG’s that all look well machined, and tested to be just as efficient as my higher end BCG’s. Currently they are spares kept in various different bags just in case.

It’s important to recognize that a large reason they can charge lower prices is that they, for the most part, have chosen to manufacture and sell firearms based of existing designs (AR-15, Glock 19, etc.) that have been well tested in the wild. This dramatically reduces their R&D costs compared to companies that are creating new designs. Their profits that are invested into the next designs are also existing designs (AK, AR-10, etc.) that require a little more R&D/tooling/manufacturing/etc. They use this and a stepping stone to then create new designs (Jakl, Rock 5.7, etc). It’s a brilliant business plan when you think about it.

I've built quite a few guns, ARs and handguns alike. My experience is you have to decide where in a build is worth your money. To me, the reciever is just the skin, as long as it doesn't crack, and the internals are where I choose the invest the dollars for quality. You need a good barrel and bcg and a reliable trigger. That's where the quality should be invested and in your trigger. I've never used a polymer receiver outside of handguns, but I heard polymer receivers can be very problematic. PSA receivers have never caused me any problems. Neither have Anderson. I also am casual shooter and don't anticipate working my guns at a hardcore mercenary's capacity. For what most citizens do with their ARs, binge shoot and then leave the thing on a shelf or in a case until it's time visit the range or take a class again, PSA and Anderson are more than sufficient. Everybody is not Garand Thumb or T. Rex arms dude, mag dumping a barrel-full of ammo a week.

Something an old vet from Nam told me. “When I was first issued an m-16 it sucked. Jammed and malfunctioned all the time. I put some of my toothpaste(the stuff they gave them in Vietnam had pumice in it) and put it on the bolt and spent all my off time working the bolt back and forth. After a week or regular cleaning and grinding that way, I cleaned and re-assembled it and it ran like a top after that.” You can use valve grinding compound to achieve similar results in guns with lower qc. There’s always a cheaper option.

I have spent too much on rifles and handguns just trying to keep up with the trends and what people say is "the best rifle". I ordered a PSA rifle kit and assembled it myself with upgraded trigger springs and an upgraded bolt from Wilson Combat, and from what I see right now, with about 3 thousand rounds through it, im pleased. It is accurate enough for what I use it for and its dead nuts reliable, for $399.

PSA has the advantage of owning and controlling almost every manufacturing process involved in making their parts. Like he said everything except stampings and polymer injection molding. PSA also sells direct to consumer and therefore removes the distributor’s cut. He had to make his fortune to be able to own and control all of those facets of the company. I believe he is passionate about those values that he stated in the video, but I’m pretty sure that he is making a pretty penny still, he is just re-investing alot of it back into the company which is just raising the value of the company he owns, so its not like he isnt making money.

No! He is talking about the 1986 ban on new "machine guns" for public sale. The federal government calls an M-16 a machine gun because the federal government changes definitions to fit its civilian disarmament agenda. No military would call an M-16 a machine gun. It is actually an assault rifle, not to be confused with the made-up term "assault weapon". When he says "register", he is talking about registering under the National Firearms Act (NFA). That would be the $200 tax stamp. That needs to be challenged in court because the U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that it is unconstitutional to tax a constitutionally protected right, and keeping and bearing arms is a constitutionally protected right. As a matter of fact, the U.S. Supreme Court has said that the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right.

I've ben an avid PSA customer for a long time, mostly AR parts and ammo of course, but I'm still flabbergasted that PSA can sell what they do and make a profit. But I respect the hell out of the guy and their principles. My last buy was their Rock 5.7 (piecemealed for my preference combo of parts and a buttload of mags) as a cheap way to try a new-to-me caliber. Like most folks who've been into firearms for awhile, I have a spectrum of quality, but the stuff PSA produces is the ideal level where it shoots well, but you won't be financially ruined if you have to use it in a defense scenario and it disappears into the system forever after. And the enjoyment of kitting something out to personal taste is part of the appeal where with PSA, you don't have to sell body parts to quench the, dare I say, addiction. 😁

The facts are they DO cut corners! In the assembly area. They skip dimpling barrels, specifically on the FN premium barrels. Their excuse for it is that “they’re not dimpled when they get them from FN.” They don’t properly rivet AK’s with counter sink rivets in the places they’re supposed to be. They market they’re AAC ammo as “5.56” and don’t use sealant on any of it. Not even the “defensive” specific loads like the 70gr. TSX. And their buffer springs they put in kits ect. come out the box at replacement length. There stuff is sporting tier out of the box. If they cinched up those few corners, then and only then could they truly be considered the “Peoples Armory.” Until then they’re just putting out sporting goods.

This is not a unique or widespread problem and you would know this if you purchased one instead of listening to bs on the internet and then regurgitating it on this vid post. Posting lies about PSA like some do doesn’t make you look smart it makes you look ignorant.
