Thanks so much for this analysis. It is spot on. The only thing I want to bring to our attention is that we understand that "ministering to the saints" in 2 Cor. 8 and 9 is not referring to giving to pastors or other ministers. It is giving to the poor brethren in Jerusalem, which Paul had been organising for several years (cf. Gal 2:10; Rom 15:25-28). Paul emphasised that this is a symbiotic relationship. Those in abundance now (like the Corinthian church) should give to those in need (the Jerusalem brethren) and if there is a change of situation, the currently poor church will reciprocate similar (2 Cor. 8:14-15). The overall purpose is equitable blessing among all believers (2 Cor. 8:15). In chapter 9, Paul stirred up the Corinthian church with the example of the Macedonian churches-those in Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea- who gave despite their poor situation and persecutions (Rom 15:26) In Paul's visit to Jerusalem (Act 20:3), he brought the collection from Corinth to the Jerusalem brethren (Act 24:17). The reason for pointing this out is because of the way people have misread these chapters, using it to support those unbiblical teachings on tithing and offering.

Yes, seen. Verse 19 was a prayer. They gave to his needs, Mark the word. Maybe in my next video where I intend to do a video as touching ministering to pastor I will touch that scripture. You can see that Paul consistently didn't demand it from them. And he mentioned that fruit should abound to their account is not necessary rewards nor transactional. But that by ministering to him, they are partnering with him for the gospel. This is what he called fruit of righteousness in 2 Cor 9:10. In all Paul did not promise them to give for an expected turn around, Howbeit God blesses our giving. Moreso the vs 19 was Paul blessing them fir giving to his need.

Shiloh was a previous town/place of worship chosen by God before it was rejected and destroyed because of the people's sins (Jeremiah 7:12). Jerusalem later became the place of worship chosen during the reign of King David.

In Mark 12:41-44, JESUS Himself commended a poor window who gave to God all she had (2mites). Were these 2mites not a Sacrifice? Did JESUS condemn her or the church? Did JESUS even condemn the rich that gave plenty? He only compared which giving was more sacrificial!
