This was very eye opening. I feel like I'm way at the beginning of my journey even though I've spent the last year learning as much as possible about as many topics in the niches of my interest. I'm working through the training in order to understand every aspect of what I know is needed, to build what I have in mind, it's a lot. Thanks so much for all the helpful content, I finally have a better idea of how much I really have to still understand better. Looking forward to learning much more.

An 'API' is "Application Programming Interface" *ANALOGY FOR NON-SOFTWARE ENGINEERS* 1) you visit a restaurant and sit at a table 2) a waitress appears because you cannot go into the kitchen and grab food 3) the waitress takes your order and walks to the kitchen and hands the order to the cooking staff 4) you make a run for the kitchen - the waitress grabs you and says "you have to tell ME what you want and I will GET it for you - this is an organized process and we do not give anyone direct access to the food in the kitchen, you have to GO THROUGH ME to get what you want" 5) the cook makes the food 6) the waitress goes to the kitchen, picks up the food, and carries it to you at your table 7) *_the waitress's name is 'API' for short_* 8) "everyone calls me 'the programming interface that our customers have to use to get food - but my nickname is API* 9) your name is "Programmer of an Application that needs stuff that I don't have direct access to, I have to use this API" .

Hey Brett😊 I am following you since you talked about "How lensa app became so successful" and since then I have binge watched every video of your😍. I even have done your bubbles course and currently I'm trying to make my own app. But I'm stuck like where to go now. even if I make an app I don't have any personal brand nor I have money to scale that app on my own. yes I want to have my own buisness one day but currently what I really need is guidance. You on the other hand are among some of those people who is leading this AI space. Therefore is there a way by which I can work for your company. Im learning UI\UX design and bubble right now. Is there a way to get an internship at your company. I really want to work with you. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PAY ME. I just want to learn from you.😊

creating a different source of income in these difficult times is the best thing to do. Not only does it guarantee profits, it also helps you plan and save for future expenses. It can be quite difficult to make an investment without sound knowledge or guidance, which is why it is advisable to work with an investment advisor.

@@CamsCozyCornerbasically they have platforms where people who can't code can act like they do and make basic apps and services with a couple of drag and drop features. Most of these software services end up being copy pasted clones of other services out there due to the limitations of no code. Basically it works the best when you have connections from your family or elsewhere where they can give you money or exposure to use your service vs the 1000 other ones.

Only a few min in, so I'm not sure if he mentioned this but relying on APIs for your business can be very risky. You're basically relying on the companies good will to keep the API available, but once they start charging a shit ton of money like Reddit did, product like Apollo, Relay, etc go down the drain. I'm assuming he talks about this later on lol but that's why if you're planning on implementing LLMs open source is the way to go😤

Brett, your podcast/YT vids are #1 in my world and I follow a lot of people. The reason is that you always give such HUGE value, ask all the right questions that I'd want to ask, and the way you conduct the conversations literally gives us a blueprint we can take action on. I usually like some of your videos, but please stop publishing misinformation. An API is NOT a "data structures that a company will make public to their own platform" A quick google search will let you know that this is incorrect. This entire video is full of misinformation. You cannot say that it is simple and you don't need to know how to code and then proceeds to spent about 20k per month on 2 engineers and a designer. Jokes.

People who buy this type of business most likely do not understand nothing about software. Building your business around APIs is good to make some money, but long term it is not a good business. Because you pretty much don't have any leverage, and your business can be shutdown in a day if the APIs are shutdown.

In. Game on. This is one of the most inspirational videos I've seen in years that works perfectly with my skill set. Will check back with you in 6 months and let you know what I've done or I'm doing. And Brett, great questions to lead Kieran down a path that gives us great insight into how to build a SAAS bizz. Well done. Cheers to the both of you.

I work as a software engineer and to build anything using code is hard and takes a lot of time especially when using cloud services that is an insane expense. So if you’re thinking of starting a saas company with no code make sure you at least understand API’s and logic because no offense to this guy he makes it sound a little to simple. He is a do guy meaning he has a business mindset and see’s the outcomes early on.

The first minute of your video was so good man. I know you spend a lot of time getting the editing right, and this one was perfect. Getting the audience stoked for this episode

Made a bit over a million $ with a platform I founded and coded in a single year that was initially something completely different. So I have to 9000% disagree with your entire premise. Other than that, didn't watch the video. Good luck. Edit: Decided to watch the video (somewhat). Pretty good stuff. People often think that you need to reinvent the wheel and work hard to make money, when in fact it's often the opposite. I like the hustles (that's honestly what they are) you guys went through and how you openly explain them. Edit 2: Viewed the most watched part and feel stupid for sounding so pretentious in the first paragraph, lol

Always a banger 🔥 Some advice, tell your editor to equalize the audio. Your voice was a lot quieter than Kieran’s and it hurt my ears while listening in the car. Takes 2 seconds, makes a world of difference. Keep up the amazing content! Your channel is a goldmine.

"We want to get into the nitty gritty of exactly how successfully businesses work" does not reconcile with "we can't tell you how much a service with 10,000 users was sold for"

We always hear about the successes... but never about the millions of people trying and failing, and never reaching success. And not because they arent trying hard enough, or are unskilled. You simply need luck. MOSTLY luck.
