Looking forward to High Water which is one of my favourites and uniquely sleep token. The ultimate end goal of any sleep token reaction is Euclid lol. Once you're familiar with their back catalogue and take me back to Eden it's so much more powerful. An incredible song on its own but as an album closer, and the closer of a supposed trilogy it's just masterful.

Def a favorite from the album. Glad you liked it! When I hear their songs like this it reminds me of people saying that Sleep Token isn’t a metal band, like it’s some kind of insult. They *can* do metal, and do it well. I’ll never understand why people have the need to put stuff in nice little packages. I personally love the creative freedom they embody. They’re genre-less and in my opinion, music in general, is better for it. Telomeres is my second favorite song on the album, can’t wait for the reaction!

I've used Sleep Token as my playlist and wow I've lost 21lbs🎉😁 That's why i enjoy your reactions cuz it's like hearing it for the first time agan. Its great to just put them on and not have to change up songs. Have you noticed how classy Vessel is? His lyrics have been so varied but he's found ways to describe what he wants without a ton of profanity. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti profanity, i cuss a lot lol, but it's refreshing that his music tells a story and not Effin this and that. Love that! Watching you go through the same journey I went through when I was introduced to Sleep Token, back in March, has been a absolute pleasure! I think of the Bible parable of the old lady finding her lost penny and celebrating it's return with all of her friends. This is a lot like that. I have many bands I like and knew this one was different very quickly. Now I get to celebrate and show off this "penny" with friends.

In each cell divission the Telomeres shorten, and in the end, the cell cannot divide anymore and your tissues get old and die. I guess the tittle of that song is going in that direction. Strange name tho.

Was going to post a similar response, but you beat me to it 🙂. Telomeres are considered the key to ageing and even cancer. As we age, our telomeres shorten and lead to ageing and looking older. Scientists are very close to reversing this shortening and being able not only to prolong life but also reverse ageing by 30 years. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I love your reactions. And I love how these offerings can resonate with people in different ways. The lyrics here are not right if genius is correct. “Shit just don’t feel the same” should be “she just don’t feel the same” and “I don’t want to let you fall away” should be “until I let you fall again”. She just don’t feel the same is Sleep taking off that mask he has been wearing the entire time. Mocking Vessel “poor thing, she just don’t feel the same.” Referencing Sleep who he has been trying to court the entire time. I feel this song is Sleep revealing himself for the very first time as not a Goddess but the ancient parasite he is. Vessel has been this plaything the whole time and Sleep has become tired of his whining. His continual pining for the wife he lost. Sleep is done with the illusion of giving him everything he has ever wanted. “Until I let you fall again.” Sleep has been descending with him the entire album. This is where she lets him sink to the bottom of his own thoughts his own guilt, or sadness, or whatever it is that is eating at him. So she lets him sink… forever. Sleep will come only to feed on him as he slowly becomes numb to the reality he will be trapped in Sleeps realm for good.

Oooh boy Telomeres is in my top list of ST songs for so many reasons (the drums being a big one). Can't wait for you to go through THAT journey. I think the other song with scientific analogies that you were trying to recall was Bloodsport. Where Vessel mentions atoms fusing, quantum pattern and being tangled. In TMBTE there's the song Aqua Regia to add that list too! Another insightful reaction once more! Not only does the song have that being underwater sound but it also fades as though it is sinking into the depths! Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

Yet another prime example of Sex Token. This song is such a vibe. After you’re done with this journey take the time to sit and watch the entire Room Below show from Lafayette. There are several videos of the whole show and it’s absolute beauty and perfection. Just Vessel, the choir and a piano (and a guitar for the first 3 songs, one of which is the most incredible version of Hallelujah you’ll ever hear). If you do a full reaction we’ll all be undeniably happy. If not, do it for yourself and you’ll understand why the world needs a Room Below album some day.

As far as the song title Descending goes I have to say this isn't my fave 'Descending' that one belongs to Tool! This one isn't my fave Sleep Token song either it's okay but lower on my list. I love love the songs on the new album and most of the songs on the others but this one doesn't vibe with me as well. Just my knee jerk thought, only my second time hearing it.
