(Some 2-3x's each!🤫😂) I would 💗 for you to educate young couples on the IMPORTANCE of buying a band that can be SIZED in the FUTURE! I'm a Metastatic Breast Cancer Survivor, who has spent the last 13yrs fighting to live, but was DEVASTATED, when I was told my OG ring (of 24+ YEARS ) could NOT safely be resized! I've never wanted to 'TRADE UP' my OG Diamond, so I recently made the difficult decision to have my OG Princess Cut Diamond set in either a single stud earring or pendant, & then have a PINK Lab Cut Diamond set in my OG 18k yellow gold invisible set diamond band. I plan on gifting it to our daughter on her wedding day. (She just turned 17yo, so hopefully that will be a few yrs from now.) That is a beautiful…..BEAUTIFUL ring set. I loved the side profile with the ‘u’ shaped metal. What a very generous husband he is. If I was rich enough I think this is the set I would pick. My jeweller is telling me that I even though I want a yellow gold band that the diamond should be set in white gold because the yellow gold will make the diamond appear yellow. The stone is E colour. I was thinking the same thing. My current ring is very rough so my next reset will be based 100% on comfort.

@pinkroses9320 I have had the ring for close to 10 years now. My mother gave me a family stone for the center diamond. I wanted to have a setting similar to the original (Back in the 1950's it was very common to have a center stone in a platinum setting with 1 tapered baguette on each side or Channel set diamonds in the bank). When I went to the jeweler, I asked to have the channel set diamonds for the band. He talked me out of it, saying that diamonds with a shared prong setting gave more sparkle. He showed me the two examples. Yes, he was right about the sparkle-- no doubt. But the prongs are a bit uncomfortable. A channel setting would have been smooth and more comfy. Long story short-- go for comfort. My guess is the woman in the video will not wear her set on a daily basis because it is not comfortable to wear.

@pinkroses9320 I will likely reset it with some channel set diamonds towards the front (on both sides of the main stone) but leave the sides smooth metal. That is the most comfortable and if you are wearing it every day, it makes sense.
