i think we need to applause BoPil who does a really good job as a new PD. Running Man under BoPil is a pure comedy gold, the games are simpler but advance and exciting, the punishment is just annoying instead of dangerous, the editing such as music and timeline is more modern and targeting younger audience. you know when ChulMin was still a PD, he often make a big project, a global project or a fanmeeting project, all cost so much money, and the punishment are somehow a little bit dangerous for guests and members imo, but still thanks to him, because he is the man who saved running man from disbandment 3 years ago.

No... that’s not it. I think you’ve mistaken, In Korea, you HAVE to call your older friend/ colleague/anyone you know 형(older “brother”) and not by their name directly. For example, younger male to older male is Hiong, younger male to older female is Nuna, younger female to older male is Oppa, younger female to older female is Onnie. The older one do not need to call these things above, just directly call their names, like Keangsoo ya, Soomin ya. If a younger one have to call the older one (not usual, unless necessary like talking about rules or formal situations), they must add hiong, nuna, oppa, onnie in the end, like Jaesok hiong, Seokjin hiong. You can see it by all the guests also using this tradition, even though i’ve met you 1 hour ago, I have to call you hiong too The one Kwangsoo mentioned (DongSaeng) means younger male one. Yeah it includes the meaning brother but not literally, it’s just a traditional calling method.

Yes..not just korean but mostly asian countries..age is counted as ranks in a way...the respect to elders are very strict and thats why you have to address them as big brother/ sister..even for my cousins i still call them big sister (name) even when im 20+ lol..same goes for store clerks(in this sense used as a term of respect) calling customers who are older big sister/brother(although this might differs, since it is a stranger calling you by this title)
