Raizo is played by a K-Pop star by the name of Rain. There is a line in the movie about Raizo looking like he was a member of a boy band. Raizo chuckles at that comment. Now you get the inside joke. He WAS a member of a boy band. Also, the leader of the ninja clan was played by Sho Kasugi, the man responsible for making ninja movies mainstream popular.

Sho Kasugi happens to have a shop in LA with two Mexican luchadors called Sho Kasugi’s Republic of Ninja, with the Lucha Bros’ Republic of Lucha. He’s a super cool guy

Both Sho Kosugi and his son, Kane, are extremely talented and very well trained martial artists. I read somewhere about them both actually being ninjas. I have a hard time believing that's true though 😕.

A little note that I like is how the ninja clans don't care if you're japanese, they only take the strongest humanity has to offer. THe reason most of them are asian is Japan's geographic location to the rest of asia, Raizo is obviously from Korea.
