This company must've been a young one to make this many mistakes. You sent a mentally unstable guy to another solar system by himself with nothing but a female android that is DESIGNED based on his preferences? Best case scenario, nothing wrong happens but you end up giving this guy EXTREME emotional attachments to it by the end, worst case scenario, you totally mindfuck him and destroy the entire mission. For a behavioural expert, Im shocked she didn't understand something that 90% of guys understand by age 13.

In a future ruled by corporations cannibalizing each other it’s very likely to see mismanagement. It happens today with out of touch CEOs and shareholders. He probably wasn’t the only one sent out, and set it to one per mission to cut back costs. Notice how the interview location had so many empty seats, corporations are wasteful where it doesn’t matter, and lacking where it should matter.

YESSS THIS MOVIE. when i was a youth conversation corps crew member at a virginia state park at 16 (my first job) you live and do work around the state park for 3 weeks or the summer and get $500 for it. i was 16 and one of the older ones. there were 13 of us. my counselor thought it would be cool to watch a movie and we had a shitty tv and none of us had our phones and we were really excited to see it. (i’m a film major now at penn state so i was particularly interested). he reads the back of the cover in the walmart he went to because we had a budget and couldn’t buy a nicer movie and we’re only going to watch it once and decides it’s good and sounds interesting. he puts it in and we gather around on the floor to watch it in the no AC cabin. the sex scenes were so funny to us (all guys cabin). the whole movie became a laughing stock like a cult classic movie. i’ll never forget this masterpiece because of how and when i watched it no doubt. the fact that this came up in my feed is so good. it was basically all about sex and that was so confusing to us. it’s been a few years since then and it’s still a good memory.

@ALL HANDS ON STEAM DECK It's based off an old psychological theory that men tend to hold a preference for women that resemble their mother's in terms of looks and personality. The same theory stipulates that women have the same attraction to men that look like their fathers. Nowadays, that theory is seen as bunk, and mostly only applying to people that have bad/odd relationships with their parental figures, while most adults do not seek out partners that look like their parents.

hahaha, ok this gave me a chuckle, but you are wrong.... The problem is, for the message to convey you have to remove social exposure to all other people. If Nimani where to engage in social contact with ANYONE else but himself, he would have blamed that person for her rejection towards the end. Nimani hurt him so badly because it was just the two of them. He influenced her and no one else, and despite the fact that it all appeared to be going so well, the second she got free-will she denied him. In your scenario, that moment would have had far less impact... Maybe the trucker behind him was better looking? or had a better power outlet??? :-D

I like how some comments say "Oh I'd be fine without anyone or any interactions with another human!". No. No you wouldn't... 😅 If you'd be completely alone, with 0 interactions with absolutely anyone (and those online interactions still count by the way... so if you have any of them, you're still interacting with other people) you would go insane eventually, sooner or later. You're not "special" 🤷‍♂️ You might be an introvert, but still you absolutely need those human interactions in one way or the other.

When in truth, every generation before us have done the same thing... yet some still remain "edgy" and think they're special in some way, even when there's so much information around to let those people know they're NOT anything new, anything special, anything anything other than just like every other people. The amount of blindness and self elevation is the thing that puzzles me. Like one wise man said, 2 things are infinite: Space and human stupidity, thought I'm not sure about the space 😂

this movie gives a good perspective of how relationships work specifically focusing on: intimacy, conflict, and responsibility. I think it’s also important to note that after he went into a depressed state from being denied intimacy this made her come to an awkward conclusion that she must kill herself in order to complete their mission. It all ends in a similar fashion to Romeo and Juliette and i wouldn’t be surprised if she went to kill herself again.
