Great comment, sir/madam. My dad is 80 now, he's a jack of all trades. He would help any that asked (and some that didn't 😂).My mom was the same way, she was good with sowing and such. We didn't have much, buy we had neighbors that had less. I'm 46 now and love to help out where I can. Life isn't all about making money and looking out for yourself. It's more fulfilling to help others than help yourself. Thank you for your generation's work and example, too. 😊

From experience, it is pretty easy to avoid that happening, if you know a few tricks. When you mow, sweep or blow the clippings off paved areas. Sometimes all it takes is being out of commission for a few weeks with an illness in the active growing part of the year and the lawn can rapidly exceed what some homeowner mowers can handle. I've been there, and I had to rent a small 23 horsepower farm tractor with a mid-PTO mower deck to get it back down to where my Snapper riding mower could get back to use. edit: In my case, it was nearly two month, about 1/2 hospitalization and half recouperation. By the time I could get back at the lawn, it was 2-3 feet tall.

@@MonkeyJedi99say it louder for those in the back. I'm seeing so many comments condemning the homeowner for letting it get that long, but as you say it doesn't take long for a lawn to get overgrown. There are any number of valid reasons why the homeowner may have been unable to take care of his garden, and people are filling these comments condemning him for it. It's sickening TBH. Hi SB Mowing, my name is Sean. Love your content. This hill you have to attack , it is possible to do it easier. I grew up in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. In town is Fort Anne. The grounds are all steep hills cut by the french to protect the fort. To mow the steep hills, the grounds crew simply took a 21" push mower, removed the handles , and attached rope to the handle body mounts. Then they stand at top of hill, and let the mower ride down the hill, then pull it back up with the attached rope. It works really well, check out pics of Fort Anne online for yourself, and see the excellent work they do. Keep doing what your doing, it is heartwarming, ( to say the least ); to see your commitment to kindeness and civic pride.

Wow, it's crazy just how much wider the sidewalks were than they looked in the before pictures. What a change! Looks great, as always! Great job, Spencer, bless you as always.

Stumbled upon your channel a couple of months ago and I must say that you do excellent work. Honestly it is very satisfying to watch. Makes me get out in my yard and do more than just keep the grass cut. Thanks for the inspiration. By the way that was a beautiful house!

Just thinking that grass didn’t get that bad over night, of course that man was happy to see you. A massive job getting it all back under control and looking good. Odd how most of these overgrown properties seem to be corner lots. You always seem to rise to the challenge making the community safer and cleaner one property at a time. Of course those clean lines at the end are the cherry on top, that really make the entire property shine. Looking back at your recent visit and teaming up with Al Bladez, maybe he can come out and hook up with you on your turf. You and Al worked so well together I’d say 2 of a kind and both very generous in all that you do.

Hello Spencer, I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you slipped down the slope. OMG!! I've never seen so many corners that you had to edge and what a brilliant job you did with this garden. I love your edging you do it so well and everything looks uniform. The garden looked beautiful when you finished. Well done on another excellent video. Lots of love to you and your wife.

It's stunning to see your before & after photos. The sidewalks are 2 feet wider because of your diligence and hard work. The property now has curbs that were completely invisible before. Your curb & sidewalk work is always my favorite part of your videos because you make it look easy & its always flawless when complete. The home owner must have been thrilled with your work & no doubt he is motivated to trim up trees & shrubs & remove the debris from his property. I know I would be motivated to do so. I love your work & every one of your videos. Your cheerful, fun & inspiring. Thank you for all you do!❤

There's not many people like you out there that's willing to put in the back breaking work and the time it takes to do what you do. You're helping those that can't really help themselves. Thank you very much. I hope you have a blessed life.😊

It’s almost ALWAYS the corner lots, isn’t it? I tell my daughter and son-in-law DO NOT buy on a corner lot- city, suburb, country doesn’t matter the upkeep for drainage and ditches in the country is same principle! 😂

@@jeb3415 Hi, I live on 7 wooded acres with the big beaver pond on the corner of my lot. There is also a big hill on the corner. Everything is wild. The only problem I have is tourist dumping tires/trash down the hillside and littering my property during the summer time. So sad. Have a great day.
