$100k for me was the toughest but my wife and i managed to save it, we could have spent it on a lot of things i mean we could have gone on vacations but we didn't and funny enough didn't really start seriously investing until I was 30 back in 1998. Today, I'm 53 and have a decent $1.2M nest egg. After learning all of this, my only regret is not starting earlier when I was 25. First of all, You could lose it all and you could win it all. It goes both ways. Secondly, what works for A may not necessarily work for B and you should not be a bandwagon investor. A good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge.
