He was the youngest of the three grandchildren of the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat. It was named after his grandfather. He was proclaimed sultan at the age of 7. He was regent to his brother. He was sent to represent the Seljuks upon the invitation of the Mongol emperor. They had come as far as Erzurum on the way out of Konya. That night, they spent the night in a tent between Erzurum and Kars. In the morning the little sultan was found dead in his tent. What happened next? Where was he buried? How was the lost tomb found again? Whose body belonged to the woman found next to him?
