As a kid I always wanted a Blackout figure, but upon seeing the Voyager it always looked odd to me. Not a bad figure per say, just not hitting the mark as other figures from the same line. Thank goodness I managed to find the Studio Series one last year at a good deal, it's a splendid figure, buuuuut yeah seeing those prices either go for Grindor as a stand-in or the Masterpiece, they're both widely more available and fairly priced.

SS Blackout is good but Grindor is such an improvement that you can just forget about Blackout entirely.

I do like this 2007 figure a lot. There’s always some gems like this, I think some figures worth reviewing could be TFA figures. They are pretty sturdy and accurate to the show.

You spelt "packaging" as "packacing" twice, I believe. Anyway, the Japanese version that was sold alongside the cinema tickets at certain convenience stores in Japan has a matte finish and extra details, which is the best version of this mold IMO. I sold mine a while ago.

my first Blackout was the second smallest from the movie toys, later I bought the Studio Series, if the Studio Series is to expensive, Grindor is a good replacement

When I got this figure (back when it came out) I swore I got a knock off or used copy because of those same issues and the auto morph breaking after a few transformations..

"Blackout is the largest of the decepticons" , Literally got a voyager toy that was the same size as ironhide and was smaller then brawl. Honestly i love the leader brawl, but the leader class spot should have gone to blackout, and brawl sized down to voyager. It would have been way more film accurate.

I want to sell my SS Blackout and get any version of this Voyager instead. I hate SS Blackout tbh, he's just a mess to deal with, his transformation is frustrating af and HIS STUPID ARM PANELS AAHHH. The old Voyager is not as accurate, but I honestly don't care, I kinda prefer the less accurate look.

No idea why your "new" one is in this terrible shape. I have mine since 2007 he's been played with and used. The joints and everything held up perfectly. I lost 2 propellers and skorponok's tail broke and i repaired it. Besides that all is in much better shape than yours. Nothing loose in helicopter mode too.
