Ok. Video is over. . I live in the Sandhills of NC.Not a bad drive to the places I know. I may have asked before,but where are you & do you live there?the beach you were on seemed to be facing N,NE.you look young.I’m 52 & started fishing young!My dad would help but it was every man for himself when something crazy started happening .he wouldn’t stop to retie or untangle for a kid. Hard core. Get stuck in a boat with him at Santee Cooper ,in a storm,no bites,ect. You were in for a long day. Anyhow. In 1997 the flounder were so good..Me & my older brother turned a long weekend about this time of year into 2 months on topsail island. I would not stop fishing to go get sun glasses & hat. Watching the sun rise almost due East. Sun from above & reflection off of the water too many times to count!!please don’t ruin your vision like I did. & sunblock….eventually started wearing a good button up shirt of some sort,black nylon rain type pants (when It got colder)+ neoprene boots from cabellas.zipper in back& real grippy on the bottom. Sticky flexible rubber with wavy grip pattern. Wind would dry out those nylon pants quickly when it was whipping later in the season. Skin cancer & BAD vision aren’t worth it for fish. Almost but not. Get the best glasses you can & there’s so much clothing these days. I’m getting last year’s colors of Colombia shirts ect for nearly nothing ..blue fish..bleed them .filets in baking dish,350 or whatever.keep pouring water off until you get where you need to be. Makes a killer tuna fish salad sandwich type thing. Dog will like it too. Cook him up all the nutrients.& rice ect. You know what’s up. Can’t wait to get down again. Going a lot this year closer to prime time. We kept log books for years. Water temp a steady 63,founder turned on big time. Might be same or similar now. Dk. Give some temps in your videos pls. Your at ground zero.help me out with some # & sizes until I get over there. Enjoy

Thank you Mary I really appreciate it! It sounds like you had a great time fishing with your pops! That's as hard-core as they come! I soon after filming the intro grabbed my sunglasses, I've learned my lesson one trip out there. Clothing is equally important like you said. I'm usually covered head to toes. As far as sharing locations I'm not too keen on that I rather teach everyone how to locate fishing spots on maps and have shown how to do this in some posts on my Facebook. This location is one of the easier ones to find on maps. Every once in a while i like to get on google earth and explore our coast and encourage everyone to do this as well. I actually don't live near the beach either. I try to go to new beaches all of the time and explore with minimal expectations to catch anything but an open mind to learn and trusting the process. I'm not so keen on sharing exact spots but if you run down the coast on maps you will 100% find this and way more spots that you'll want to try 😉 I only fish the Carolinas.
