Good sermon, Bob! Many Calvinists/Lordship Salvationists, Arminianians, Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and all WORKS based gospel salvationists need to listen to this sermon. All works based gospel salvationists have literally eisegeted this text in Matthew 7:21-23.

The way to salvation has always been by faith alone in Christ alone apart from works even in the Old Testament. The same is still true today. That is why the apostle Paul quoted Genesis 15:6 in Romans 4:2-6 in defense of the gospel.

John 10:1-5,14,26-27 Truly truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way that man is a thief and a robber. 2But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they "know" his voice. 5A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not "know" the voice of strangers.14 Iam the good shepherd. I "know" my own and my own "know" me 26but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I "know" them, and they follow me. Only those who have a changed life by repentance,and striving for Holiness are those who are Jesus's sheep and follow him. Jesus uses the word "knows" as in an intimate way just like that word is used throughout scripture. Matt 7:21-23 Why does Jesus say depart from me I never "knew" you ye that work iniquity. He's not double minded The works mentioned are works that He told us to do Matt 10:28 John14:12 Mark 16:15-17. Jesus and Paul: Acts 26:18-20 To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and and inheritance among those who are sanctified by Faith in me. Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT AND TURN TO GOD and do works befitting repentance. Clearly they claimed they believed in God to do those works He doesn't say you trusted in your works He doesn't say I knew you once and you later rejected me. He says I never "knew" you (in scripture "knew" means intimately) They never changed their minds about their sinfulled life (repented) Of their sins as Jesus the disciples and Paul all preached They didn't have a personal relationship with Him. They were pointing to their works as evidence they knew Him. They believed repentance is works God didn't know them because they hadn't been regenerated, forgiven of their sins and died in their iniquity. Titus 1:16 They profess that they "know" God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good works reprobate. Jesus wouldn't refer to what He commanded us to do as iniquity or lawlessness Note: They didn't say I repented of my sins which is the first requirement for salvation. What is the will of the Father? The Greek word that is translated as “does” is poieo. The word appears 598 times in the New Testament. It has been demonstrated that the Greek word for “does” refers to action that performs an activity. This word is a verb and not a noun.Since poieo is a verb, we must also determine the meaning of its tense, voice and mood. The tense of poieo in Matthew 7:21 is in the present tense.Poieo in the present tense refers to action that is ongoing. For example, when Jesus said, “he who does the will” He was referring to ongoing action at that moment in time. In other words he who is doing the Father's will.The Greek word for “does” is a Greek present participle which implies ongoing behavior. The person who does the will of God once in a while does not qualify.Jesus is describing someone who habitually does the will of the Father. Poieo is also in the active voice, which means that when Jesus said, “.he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter” Jesus was saying that the individual must be performing the action. A life of obedience (present tense “do” [Ποιωv] for continuous action) to his will is, in fact, the definition of righteousness. when Jesus says “. . . but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” The word “does” is a present, active, participle verb which means that those who continuously are doing the will of the Father go to heaven. Jesus was referring to a pattern of life and not perfect obedience. The character of true Christians is that they sin less and less as they mature in their faith. What is God's will? God wants you saved,He wants you Spirit controlled,and He wants you separated from sin. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 It is God’s WILL that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. John sums it up. 1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the WILL of God lives forever.

Will Persistent Sinners Die Eternally? - Bob Wilkin kzbin.info/www/bejne/nni3Ypmbm69pZ5I Bob Wilkin is answering a question about the message of James 1:12-15. If a person keeps on sinning, will this cause him to die eternally? How does a thought or a temptation progress into sin? Please listen for some Biblical clarity about this.

@@GESvids does this hold true if we fight it and keep submitting to God. It has reached a point after 25 years of struggle w this stronghold that i dont really desire it anymore. Prayed fasted and went to recovery groups over the years. Hate how much of my life was consumed by it before

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, His will should be done by people on earth, not God, so we must learn deeper what his will are? I think number one is to make all people in earth will know his name and mightiness, since from the start he use Pharaoh of Egypt, Exodo,9:16 /Romans 9:17,, the question is, was it Jesus ? Or Jehovah, the new name ? Isaiah, 62:1-3,

God doesn’t Compromise with Sin. You got to wake up Pick up your Cross Deny your Flesh and follow Jesus Christ✝️I don’t believe in the Once saved always saved Gospel that comes from Modern day Christianity.
@TyVodd Жыл бұрын
You're right, He doesnt compromise with Sin. That is why if you commit ONE sin you are destined for hell (James 2:10). We are justified by grace through faith in the Gospel (Gal 2:16), the Law (not sinning) justifies NO FLESH (Rom 3:20).

Entering the kingdom is not the same as entering heaven. Entering the kingdom means to enter into the rule and reign with the Lord Jesus Christ during His coming millennial reign on earth and those believers who "qualify" will rule and reign with the Lord from the heavens over the earth. It should noted that the "unbeliever" enters heaven through justifying faith, while the "believer" enters the kingdom by sanctifying faith. Remember, he that DOETH speaks of works and no one receives spiritual regeneration by works. Therefore, those in Matt 7:21, who address Jesus as Lord, Lord, are in fact born-again believers. This is confirmed by reading 1 Cor 12:3. "That day" is a picture of the JSOC where the believers work is made manifest, 1 Cor 3:13. Not all believers, only few, will enter into the kingdom of heaven.
