It's a beautiful, comforting song but does God really "keep you from all evils" as Psalm 121 says? After reading this scripture, how do people feel about God when something bad happens to them? As a Christian, I'm pretty sure that God keeps us from all evil is not fully theologically sound. I know God is sovereign. He's in control. I don't think God keeps us from all evils. He allows evil to happen. God uses evil that others with free will choose to do... 1. to get non-believers attention to hopefully become believers (Justification) and 2. to make us more like his Son (the process called Sanctification). God can keep us from all evil but for His reasons, sometimes He chooses not to.
