Rick: "They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out." Abraham: "Find out what?" Rick: "They’re F***ing with the wrong people." 🤭😎 The scene with Rick and Joe's gang was amazing. We were so uneasy and horrified. It was just brutal, between Rick tearing out that guy's throat and Daryl stomping that other guy to death. Actually, carl has always been the type to save strangers in need.. he was the one who saved michonne when she went to prison for the first time.. he also saved tyreese and sasha's group when they entered prison.. also when rick and michonne left the traveler alone on road carl seemed to be uncomfortable with it... His killing of the teenager with governor was more like not giving chance to an enemy since he already saw giving chances had always bit them in the back... also that boy was not dropping his gun when he was told to.. he kept approaching them still holding the gun.. his surrender seemed quite dubious.. So, now it is time to reveal that the jacket rick is wearing is called his murder jacket and it is the best character in the show. On with the comic comparison (this one is real quick) So, the major scene in this episode is adapted pretty faithfully with rick and carl. The only differences are it was a random group that ambushed them, no one from our group knew them. Also instead of daryl and michonne being there, rick and carl were with abraham. This event happened on the way to ricks hometown though the events of what happened there we saw in season 3 episode 12 "clear"

This episode holds my favourite Rick Grimes moment ever. The rage he got seeing someone about to SA his son just sent him into a full on insane savage man. Congrats on completing season 4! I have some thoughts and opinions so this will be a long comment: Season 4’s first 5 episodes were really great to continue the prison arc with a disease going around instead of people fighting. I like that we got to have character development with the new character Bob going along with Daryl, Michonne and Tyreese to get medicine. The prison arc ends with the governor destroying everything and leaving the group scattered. I loved the fight scene with the governor and rick with michonne coming in and saving rick. The first half of season 4 was really good. The second half of season 4 was crazy with multiple stories being played. I liked Daryl’s and Beth’s friendship being made during this. Carol feeling guilt as well about killing Karen’s and finally telling Tyreese what she did left with a feel of dread. It’s insane that Lizzie killed Mika and when I first saw I was in disbelief. I love the new group that comes with Eugene, Abraham and Rosita. Shows that the world isn’t all bad with people. The ending of season 4 with rick ripping out joes throat shows how far rick has gone. Showing his inner Shane which I really enjoyed. Terminus was a shine of hope but looks like it turned out to be to good to be true. Plus the best line ever, “they’re fu**ing with the wrong people”. This was shorter than I wanted but I have to leave soon so that’s all I have to say for season 4. I hope you enjoyed season 4 and good luck with season 5! - Bub8les

Rick’s arc this season has been amazing It’s all been about him trying to suppress the brutality within himself in order to steer Carl down the right path That’s why he stepped down as leader and threw all his energy into farming He even stopped carrying his gun on him And then everything he’s built starts to unravel The prison falls and Rick sees that Carl never will be the kid he wants him to be And then the ultimate realization that Rick has failed to protect his son from the brutality of the world he’s forced to rip a mans throat out with his teeth to stop Carl being raped Incredible writing.

We see a lot of dirty Rick, like everyone else in this rotten world, but from now on there will be so many scenes of blood on the face that oscillates between victory and defeat all the time and that's good, because the series seeks a limit of realism that matches the situation of any human in these conditions of constant threats. The main thing is that it goes to the bottom and always returns. I love Rick Grimes so much, I agree even when he's wrong, because he's always pondering, even if in a fraction of a second and acting to get it right, he's my alter ego🤠Great Reaction!

4:00 Now that was some great visual foreshadowing right there. It lays out exactly how the Termites entrap our people by episode's end. 9:25 But you guys also forget that is was Hershel who told Rick to pick up his gun again. It was Rick who over-adjusted. There's a time to be a farmer and a time to be a gunslinger. I think Hershel's lesson is to always try for peace but to also be ready to fight. 12:03 While a certain ruthlessness is needed to survive this world, it's still encouraging to know that Rick and Carl are now aware they went too far. You can't always be in kill mode. It's a very slippery slope to become a monster like the Governor, or the Claimers, or the Termites we just met. 17:30 In regards to the episodes title, "A" is the train car they were forced into which implies there's other train cars with people trapped within. There's this efficiency to this trap that our new villains have clearly done multiple times before. 18:40 Epic line. Can you believe they censored that when it first aired on TV?! I guess censors have loosened since then because the f-bombs are dropped much more freely in later seasons. I'm sure you guys saw the episodes already but are you aware some season 5 episodes have post-credit scenes? It'll be 5x1, 5x8, and 5x16. Also, are you aware that by this point a spinoff series launched? Season 1 of Fear the Walking Dead aired between seasons 4 and 5 of the main series. It explores the very beginning of the apocalypse. Is that something you guys might check out?

If you didn’t notice a little Easter egg. When Rick says the final line the lighting covers one of his eyes like an eyepatch just like the governor.

One of my favorite episodes! One of, if not the, biggest themes of this show as a whole is the internal struggle that each and every one of these characters has to keep their humanity alive while NEEDING to do very brutal things to be alive. It's hard and these characters will always need to find a way to balance both. Characters that will fight hard to do more good than harm are always here. Dale, Andrea (not many people will agree but I see her on S3 following Dale's will by trying to stop a senseless fight and so much killing, I do believe i've commented that before on a S3 reaction btw), Hershel... So I just LOVE to see the contrast on Rick during the flashback and present time. On flashback time, we have Rick following Hershel's advice and keeping his humanity and on the present time we have Rick throwing everything aside to be the most brutal he has ever been to protect himself, his child and his group. However, it feels that Rick is going too far on both times (at least to me). There is nothing wrong with following Hershel's advice, not even in their post-prison lives!! However, in the beginning of the season Rick was not using his gun even when he had to go outside. Even Hershel was against that! He was leaning way to hard on that way of thinking without finding balance. There's also nothing wrong in what he did here, like Rob said, all fathers would probably do the same in this situation. And we all LOVE the bitting throat scene and savage Rick lol. However, we've seen him on Ricktatorship mode before, he can't let himself get lost like that again... To me as soon as I ended this episode for the first time it felt like he was saying goodbye to the Hershel way instead of, once again, working on finding balance! 4B is still my favorite part of the show and every episode is a 10 for me (all but 4x15, which is a 9,5 lol) so it was amazing when you guys finally got to it, the post-prison arc is one of my favorites, and as you guys can tell by these 8 episodes, it's amazing for character interactions and personal developments! That being said, the season as a whole is NOT my favorite. The next one is! I do love 4A, the flu was a very interesting factor to include and Too Far Gone is a masterpiece of an episode, probably still on my TOP 10. While I do like the Governor's 2 episode more and more as time goes by, I do think they are the weak link since the rest of the season is just so amazing. Next season however, as a whole is just top tier to me. So yeah, CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE.
