Ngl when I first saw him in the series(haven’t been watching NBA for quite a while until the finals), I thought… a white guy even slightly younger than me, and looks as if he were still in high school, maybe he could throw 3-pointers but not much more… I couldn’t be more wrong(and I hope that’s not too offensive😢😅😅😢 Really like how he appears to be just so obsessed with scoring, stealing the ball and staying close to the player he’s supposed to be guarding, and how he’s always the first to rush to give Jokic a hand when he was on the ground from a foul

To play with Jokic and Jamal you need to be Smart,play hard, and play as a team. Jamaal Murray said it right "Braun hit the gaps". When the Heat went to their zone defense and the Nuggs defeated it the game was over. And what it took was Braun moving off the 3 pt line. Hitting the gaps in that zone and the great passing by Murray and Jokic found him cutting for the score. It demoralized the Heat. It was a great adjustment by Malone and even better execution by a rookie.

Thing I like about Braun is his spunk. At Kansas he changed the dynamics of their team to be unwilling to accept losing, and I think his attitude does have a positive impact on the chemistry of the Nuggets - always nice to have hustler on the team with an attitude!

Long term, if MPJ continues to get regular season minutes (you know, since he's a max contract player), CB is going to be a solid 6th man until KCP leaves, I think.

@@brendontoussaint9110 It’s easy to look at game 3 and put Braun over MPJ but you can’t overlook all of the things MPJ has done up until this point. In my opinion he’s been the most improved Nuggets player defensively this year and had a good bounce back game on the defensive side for game 3. Shooters go through slumps it sucks it’s happening during the most important games but he made positive plays during game 3. I think Braun is better coming off the bench because that 2nd rotation has struggled most of the season to do anything so having him as that energy igniter is a key to keep the momentum.

Braun understand how to really impact the game of basketball. He should be getting more minutes than MPJ. Who it seems need a thorough lesson in how to be a better player and teammate. Basketball is not just about running behind the 3pt line catch and shoot as soon as u touch the ball. Can't believe MPJ plays around Jokic and Murray and still have not learned that yet.

He had a few very bad possessions where he rebounded the ball, was covered by 3 players and had 2 open teammates, yet just chucked the ball and missed. And on defense he wasn't giving too much effort, which was kinda dissapointing, at this point I truly believe Braun can contribute more to the team then MPJ, because if MPJ is to be a factor, he needs to hustle on defense more, and most importantly, knock down shots, cause when those shots aren't going down, his value drops to negative instantly, while Braun, Brown, KCP, AG and so on can all contribute in different ways - moving the ball, rebounding, defensive hustles and so on. Hopefully he develops further during the next off season, cause he really does have the talent to be a core part of the team, maybe even make it a big3, but he needs to either start moving the ball and being more of a teamplayer, or become a more consistent sharpshooter + defense guy, kinda like a Klay Thompson type. When you have a team filled with good passers like Denver, you can manage with a few black hole scorers, as long as they're efficient and moving.

He had a double double game 1 with 2 blocks now 2 games later everyone wants him benched. I get it most people probably are watching them for the first time during these finals and you see a guy like CB come off the bench and light it up but that’s why CB is important off the bench. The Nuggets second team has been the Achilles heel for this team all season so to have guys like CB and Bruce Brown come off the bench with some energy is more important.
